Believe me, other people aren't great at things as soon as they learn to do them. Everyone sucks at everything when they start out. Not sucking is a product of time invested.

Looking at the things I consider myself good at VS the things I gave up in frustration, I really don't see a difference in quality with my early work. For everything, I sucked when I started out. The difference for the things I became decent at wasn't any initial talent or anything, but just liking the activity enough to stick with it and get better.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

This. In general, unless you're some kind of savant, you're going to be pretty crappy when you start out.

Or you can just be happy sucking at everything. Losing is fun by the way.

I saw this in someone's sig, but I don't know who to credit:

"Not sucking is a product of time invested."

I could have sworn I'd seen that elsewhere, though.

And how the fuck did I miss THAT? Way to go, MaximumReadingComprehension.

As Metal Gear taught me, Time Paradoxes are bad. So yeah, don't kill MSH.
