It's just another mechanical need for me. Sleeping, eating, drinking, etc.

I'm a bit of a romantic so perhaps I overrate it. But yes, sex for sex's sake really isn't good.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Wish I could get rid of the urge, as it's brought me nothing good. Fricking biology.

I've often thought the same thing, but it has brought me something wonderful. She's a pain in the ass, but she's wonderful, and I would never give her up.

Hey now, no self shaming along those lines. It's reasonable dislike not having good enough control, but wanting to get rid of the urge isn't the answer. Self control comes with experience and maturity.

I just got my barely-ever-used bicycle fixed up and decided to ride it around town. I have a walking route that takes about an hour on foot, and decided to bicycle that. I was already panting and getting tired by the time I was about 1/4 done, but I decided to push ahead anyway and try to go the whole way.
...and actually made it! Woo!

Was super proud of myself, until I got home and came inside and found I was dizzy and nauseous as hell. Tried to eat some water and crackers and instead threw up my dinner. It took me 20 minutes to work up the strength to carry my bike inside. :(

Still horribly out of shape after all, I guess...

This. I couldn't keep it in my pants until I realized how bad shit would get if I didn't keep it in my pants.

Good job on making it! It sucks being out of shape, but you're going in the right direction.

I'd probably regret it if I got rid of my sex drive, but still, I just really don't appreciate how it made me unable to talk to the opposite sex for a good while. ...That's actually a really petty reason. I just do not appreciate the awkwardness that results. I could rant on this for hours, but I'll stop.

The main thing that I see is that, in the heat of the moment, dudes forget that women are people, too. Most women, in my experience, appreciate direct and unhidden meaning. For some reason, people turn talking to the opposite gender into a huge cat-and-mouse game, when it doesn't have to be. Just...talk to people. If it winds up that you get intimate, use protection. *shrug* I've never understood why the process is so difficult.

Layers and layers and layers of courtesy and second guessing. Too forward, you come off as a creep. Not forward enough, they miss the message that you're interested.

I still suck at playing that game.

Hmm...I don't seem to have that problem. Maybe it's the salesman in me. I'm so used to doing "song and dance" routines that I hardly notice them anymore.
