I always take the time to shoo spiders/roaches/assorted insects out of the way before turning on the shower.
Although having them watching me is always mildly discomforting.

Not half as bad as a camel cricket on the shower curtain. (For Kiwis out there, these are basically smaller cousins of the weta.)

Given their limited vision, cave crickets will often jump towards any perceived threat in an attempt to frighten it away.

They're utterly harmless and yet the mere thought that you might spook it and cause it to start pinging off every available surface including your unprotected body is enough to make a person freeze in terror.

Anyway, my actual sad: I have to take a semester off due to financial aid shenanigans. OTOH, I won't have to claim my ex-wife's income when I go back. Also, I may run an island game again and try to finish it this time.
