Because that is one of the subjects I'm going to write in matriculation exam* next year.
Only other such subject that I have on this period is mother tongue and that test was already today.

Sounds simmilar to selectivity here. Do the subjects you put in determine your university options later?

Yes, but there is some leeway.

When you apply for university, each line has certain subjects that are taken into account when deciding whether you get in or not. Of course certain subjects weigh more than others, depending what subject you apply to study. You can however also get in university purely trough entrance examination, although you must have passed at least four subjects on matriculation exam*.

*Which is called "Ylioppilastutkinto"**, but I decided to leave it out since an online dictionary suggested following translation to it: "in Finland a national examination taken after high school which serves as a necessary qualification for starting academic studies in a university"

**Curse all these Finnish words that have no good English translation.
