Really?

The worst thing anyone in my family history ever did was... let's see... one of my welsh ancestors hit a young nobleman in the face with a riding crop for striking his wife. He then fled to Australia to avoid repercussions...

And a strand of my family was very nearly responsible for a second British Civil War, in the late 1600s. A minor Lord was unhappy about something or other and gathered a small army, prepared to march and then had second thoughts and cancelled. D:

Well, it worked! :P

His descendants became teachers and principals, and one was if I remember right honoured on a plaque in the 1870s which is still at the school to this day.

Working for a person I highly respect.

Except that I'm working 50-60 hours per week for less than minimum wage.  I got paid $150 last week and the week before that for 60 hour weeks.  Fortunately I have parental support because they see this as a step towards a career and a ground floor position at a company that is bound to go far(as long as all goes well).  But I don't want to rely on my parents, and it's going to stay this way for the foreseeable future.

I know my boss is trying to pay me as much as they can afford.  I have access to the finances, I see what they look like, and I also see that I am also the highest paid.  But 60 hours a week and a 40 minute drive from Daytona to New Smyrna and back each day is rough, especially with barely enough cash to cover gas to show for it and (thankfully part time) school.  I don't want to leave because the place will crumble completely without me.  I'm the only employee there more than 1 hour a day legally allowed to drive a car in a job that gets a lot of housecalls, and the owner (the one I highly respect) is clearly sacrificing his health.  He's had issues before, this isn't helping them.  I worry about leaving him alone every time I leave on a housecall.

But at the same time, I'm literally just working for the gas money to get there.  And working more hours than everybody else there(not their faults).  My parents are getting older, they deserve to live their golden years without their son mooching in their house, but at this rate I'm not going anyplace for a few years yet.

Meh, sorry had to throw that up someplace work it all out.

Suicide goodbye or "I'm leaving the company." goodbye? o_o

Here's hoping for the second one.  Sorry man, pretty rough when you have somebody yer used to working with suddenly take off.  Especially in the working world, because that's often the only place you can get in touch with eachother at.  All you can really do is ask if they want to stay in touch any other way (and don't be offended if they don't, many people like to keep their work friends as only work friends) and hope their replacement doesn't rub you the wrong way.

EDIT:Very very bad word mixup fixed.

Had a successful date last night. Now follows the post-date depression where I begin rewriting history to convince myself it actually went horrible. This reflects on future interactions, killing the flow and ease we had before the first date, and destroying my interest in "embarrassing" myself again with a second one.

An all too familiar cycle.

I don't hate you, either. Besides, people who DO hate you from the net will probably forget after a month. Internet memory seems to be quite short for most people.
