Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children sucks. :(

Just tried the demo and I totally agree.  What a joke of a game, it's like what you'd make for a programming project or something.  I'm even more upset because it crashed my computer (catastrophic, inescapable freeze) when I clicked the Menu button.  That makes me sad, because I'm afraid every time it happens, my musty old computer might not turn on again.

I actually beat both virtual villagers games without ever buying them. The demos on yahoo work for a half-hour before shutting off even after the trial has run out. Since most stuff happens while you aren't playing in Virtual Villagers, this means you just have to be careful not to play for too long at once. The same thing works in any game with a save feature, but it tends to be a good deal more trouble to play around, especially if the game had cutscenes/boss fights.

Not everyone loves doing math, Toony. It's because we suck at it, mostly.

Rosewood is being a dick, and he's the only person I have regular contact with outside of my parents :I  Hopefully he'll grow up soon.

Hint to those of you who want to get along with people: when someone says "I'm planning to write a novel, since it is one of my major life goals," the correct answer is not "do math textbooks count?"  On the other hand, I guess I sort of deserve it for my tendency towards counterexampling (whenever someone tries to explain a generalization via a metaphor, I have a kneejerk tendency to look for a counterexample).

We both have a long, long way to go.

I think there is something wrong with me. I am enjoying doing math.

I'm happy for you =)  I wish everyone could enjoy doing math for at least a part of their lives.

"do math textbooks count?"

... I don't know why this fills me with rage, but god it does.
I'm also writing a novel.
