Well, "total crimes" really doesn't mean too much. But I can't find a chart of the crime rate as compared to the number of citizens in the country.
Find out the country's population and divide. ;)

Anyway, I'm not a fast runner, so I would probably have no chance.
Run anyway. It's not as much a matter of outrunning them as it is of discouraging them. I am not Carl Lewis either, but I escaped a second mugging attempt just by sprinting a bit. Chances are (in my experience) that they will not follow. I think the reason is that someone who is running is obviously sober, and even if they manage to catch him, they'll be tired after the race, and you might put up violent resistance. And in the time they spend chasing you (which again, as far as they know might be unsuccessful), someone dead-drunk might pass by.

a second mugging attempt

What time of night were these muggings occuring at? I live in a city that had the highest murder rate in the US a few years back and in two years I've never been mugged. Granted I tend to only walk busy streets and be home or wherever I'm going before midnight.

Every night I walk in back alleys carrying a knife slice slice cut cut om nom nom

Ugh I was reading about serial killers a couple days ago, it's disturbing but interesting.

And I started looking at colleges and I still don't have any idea what I want to do. I used to want to be a biologist or something similar, but now I'm considering a system admin or other IT type of degree. But yeah, it just drives me crazy that I'm supposed to choose what the majority of my life will be about in just 3-4 years from now, max. And then there's the whole money part of going to college, which will suck unless I can get lots of scholarships. And even then it'll suck.
Still no idea what I want to do after three years of classes. Doesn't help that advisors suggested I try out a number of things but registered me for generic classes every degree would use and ultimately railroaded me down a general education course.
Something will come up.

You know that feeling when you chomp down lots of greasy food and drink lots of water, and after a while, you feel very nauseous? I'm having that right now. I might puke on the monitor if I'm not careful...

I recently trimmed my wayward beard and now my face is feeling the cold. I still have a beard but it makes so little difference.

Edit to add: Just noticed the time; I've got to walk to work now in the wind.

Do you solve problems like "What is beauty?"
Considering all the art classes I'm taking, probably!

That's odd, last week it was everything loading EXCEPT FOR Bay12.
