I also live in Aus, and have my entire life. As a citizen, I am entitled by common law to hate on this country all I like, especially while it is bitch slapping me in the face with hot weather.
It's just one of those things that you can hate on any group that you are a part of.

I'm going to have to agree with Max. The weather is terrible right now.

-snip-
Australia is horrible, only fit for shipping convicts to.

Hmff. Think before you speak, Max. I live in Aus. I'm no flag-thumping bogan but I don't appreciate the whole 'aussies = convicts' thing. I'm descended from dutch immigrants and english upper class, not a convict. Rage.

Same boat here, but it's not really an issue. The disdain of convicts is more than balanced by the 'holy-shit' of people surviving on the world's largest venomous creature.

My father wants to buy a mac. I consider this a pointless waste of money

"But that's his business! You shouldn't care!"

Yes, I should. Because on top of that you can bet he'll expect me to magically solve the problems that pop up. Nevermind that I've never used a mac. I'm neither familiar with the system nor do I care to be.

Just tell him, "Hey, if you want me to be able to fix your computer, don't buy a Mac. I don't speak that language, and can't fix them. If you buy a Mac, be prepared to take it elsewhere for fixing." Problem solved. If he still buys a Mac, you don't have to deal.

It took me 2 hours to get home from school. Again. I wish I lived closer to my school.

My best friend is dating one out of two people in the school who I house dislike for. I shall pretend that I don't dislike him though, for her sake. =/

Recurring headache is back... feels like an ice-pick is striking into my right eyebrow and ear over and over again, accompanied by a dull throbbing. Migrane pain killers did nothing for it, nor did putting ice on the area. Worst pain I've felt since the last time I had these.

Tough to concentrate, and if it keeps up as it has, I might have to call in to work. Bleh.

Maybe it's SUNCT instead of migraine

SUNCT is the closest description I've read to my symptoms, including the sudden onset, minor swelling of the local area, and neck-movement triggering it... though the episodes tend to last considerably longer than 4 minutes. I usually measure them in hours, and have had them continue for several days in a row, though rising and falling.

Also, I'm not in my 50's yet, dagnabbit.

My sons first birthday is getting closer. I'm getting worse every day, because I won't be there...

The soonest I can get there is this up coming summer, but that all relies on money. I still do not have a job, and nobody seems to want to hire me...

I've been reading "Runaways" the comic series.
But I just keep getting hung up on the villains.

I'm going to go ahead and trample some spoilers here.

The Pride doesn't really fit in as being... any kind of logical evil.
"We love our kids, which is why we're going to completely ignore their wishes, kick the crap out of them, and threaten to kill them. But the death threat is all a bluff since we want to destroy the world for them, and we can't do that if they're dead, which is why we're trying to kill them, because they're trying to stop us."
I exaggerate, but not by much.

Maniacally insane villains I can understand, but this isn't neurotic evil, this is just illogic evil. Most of the time villains make sense in their own twisted ways, but these guys are seriously off the wall.

It just bothers me no end.
It feels like several people wanted them to be different things, which is why they're misunderstood, anti-heroic, pure evil, loving, caring, sociopathic, neglectful parents, who just wanted their kids to have a normal life.

Maybe this whole novel thing wasn't a good idea. If I finish there will be awesome bragging rights and credit. But I'm just so low on ideas and such now.
