I didn't know you could find those things (CBT) online.  I'll look into it the moment I have something resembling enough time.

Is there anywhere in particular you'd suggest?

There are, I got some links from my doctor and a counsellor at one point, and have since forgotten them and didn't bookmark them.

I'll have a look round for the stuff though.

I'm apparently iron deficient. Due to the intensity of my training for cross country (as hard as I can go, all the time.) my muscles have been using more iron than I have been taking in. This will kill my performance for at least a week, probably two. I'll be starting to treat it today. How?

Barbarossa, Watermelons are still in season, and they are one of the best sources of iron out there. Also, try adding spinach and other dark greens to sandwiches in lieu of lettuce, or wilting it in a heated pan and adding it to various pasta sauces. I had trouble with Iron deficiency while I was a vegetarian, but a few minor changes to my diet were enough to correct it.

There are, I got some links from my doctor and a counsellor at one point, and have since forgotten them and didn't bookmark them.

That's what I was looking for. Lots of different things in there to look at, I can't remember specifically which ones I was directed toward, but I looked at a few of them.

Like I say, it does take a bit of motivation to get through them, not least because you're challenging things which make you uncomfortable. So if you're finding it hard to go through them yourself, try to find someone you trust to go through it with you, or consider seeing someone in a more professional setting.

Thank you!  I can't even tell you how much I appreciate this--I can't get adequate therapy with my health insurance, only psychiatry, so I often end up swimming in circles.  I look forward to trying this out.

Glad to be of service, though that's a bummer about health insurance.

Not sure what I'm going to do when I have to move over to the US. Living in Scotland at the moment means free healthcare and free prescription medicine, which is great for someone in my position. Not looking forward to the change, I can tell you...

What may you have done wrong, if you don't mind answering?
I do find myself curious, I mean from the impression I've gotten, you seem to be doing really well for yourself except for the occasional moment of feeling... flustered? Annoyed?
Well apart from that you seem to be flying through life. So I'm a little puzzled, what are you really doing wrong? I mean apart from the things everyone does wrong?

I'm scared of being rude.  There's various people that I'm afraid I've offended.  And often, I forget to try to think of other people's feelings, instead just acting on my own.  I'm trying to live a more disciplined life--not discipline for the sake of discipline, but because there are so many important things I still haven't mastered or understood.

I guess it's that I'm trying to be good, but sometimes I feel that I don't even know how.  And I expect more of myself than that.

It seems I'm the odd one out in that I've found using the phone far easier than talking in person. This shifted a bit during college where I became a lot more social and learnt to read peoples faces and body language better. These days I find either a little straining but that's because there are questions people ask everyone my age which I can't even answer to myself and which cause me shame.

I guess it's that I'm trying to be good, but sometimes I feel that I don't even know how.  And I expect more of myself than that.

While I'm a little uncomfortable offering advice to someone I don't really know well, I feel that in this case a bit of general comment might be useful.

Everyone is different, and unless you happen to intimately know the insides out of another's personality, it's inevitable that you'll offend someone in someway, intentionally or otherwise. You should try to avoid catering your behaviour for someone else, unless it's your job or whatever, because it'll just make you unhappy. If someone should be offended by something you say or do, it's their problem. If they want to make a deal of it, unless you were trying to get their back up in the first place, the only thing you can really do is apologise, and perhaps offer an explanation as to what offended them.

Bear in mind, I'm super-biased in this. I'm an introvert, and I really don't like communicating with people. I had spent a fair chunk of my relatively short life trying to make everyone else feel good, and not really thinking about what I needed or wanted, and consequently got into the mindset that I wasn't really worth anything. It's not really something I wish on anyone.

On a side-note, you can't know everything there is to know about everything  ;) life is a learning experience, from start to end. There will be things you find that you're good at, perhaps better than most, and other things that you can't seem to get your head round no matter how hard you try. The trick is, I think, being slightly biased toward yourself. Live for yourself more than others, but remember that friends and family are always good too.

Exhaust fell off the car on the way to work last night. My dad was able to kludge it back together enough to ge me to work just on time (this is why you should always build at least a 15 minute window into your commute, kids!.) It caught on fire on his way home. Now we have no car, but at least the tow truck driver paid him for the wreck.

Oh god, my mom was just accused by one of her bosses of stealing from the company. The nerve, they won't pay her separation fees, now, they're accusing her of theft?
