I somehow managed to cut my gums with my toothbrush. It was a complete accident, I swear.
Very common.

Daily.

EDIT: Well, not any more, come to think of it, but for a while I did. Now it only happens rarely.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Mah :I

I'm in a pretty bad mood.  There's no good reason, either.  Just in a bad mood.  And tired.  I want to go to bed right now, but my mom's coming to visit...

Lots of work to do, too.

Feh.

It's Thursday night.
I've been losing sleep all week, and I can feel my mental state deteriorate over the course of the week. So much more work this year, and I've made it my goal to not stay up late, but I've been failing. The fact that even if I get to bed at a reasonable time I typically have insomniac tendencies and can't sleep anyways is not helpful, either.
So now I'm just feeling depressed and tired and bleh, and I have to memorize all the elements for tomorrow's test.

At least the weekend is tomorrow, I get to sleep then, at least.

Oh, screw it, I'm depressed and I'm going to bed.

I'm so tired of this.  I'd say "I just want to be happy and stay happy for once," but that's not even true.  I don't know what I'm missing.  I've always felt this way.  And there's no point in talking about it.  There's nothing I can do about it.

I hate this.  Life feels too long sometimes.

Then there is only one acceptable course! You must become as a drill, advancing a little bit with every... okay, no, Gurren Lagann is not a viable philosophy, nor is it the solution to all problems. That'd be nice, though.

Still, that it's always been this way doesn't mean it always will be, just that tomorrow, it likely will be, and the day after that. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this, but. It's something you can come to terms with, and a problem you can grapple with until you achieve some measure of success.

And as far as willpower-based grappling goes, your mind would seem to be the Mechakraken, so there's that. Also, I'm pretty sure Aid Another works with grapple checks, so have a +2 bonus.

Wait, it doesn't? Feh, have the +2 anyway, I bet the DM won't notice. >____>

Heh, you're sweet.

Still, bedtime.  I bet I'll wake up feeling a lot better.

I'll consider it.

Last time I went, they wasted my time telling me how smart I am.  At length.  Also about how I seem to speak a foreign language, and how fascinating it is.  I really don't want to have to sit through that again, as it mostly made me feel miserable.

Or maybe I'm just upset about Mr. Davis.

Nah.  Instead I come here and complain about progressivism; I'm not here solely to get people to tell me I'm smart, you know.

I like it that people here treat me like a person.  Psychologists treat me like an experiment, and I can feel them trying to exert control, which drives me nuts because they don't tend to be very good at it.  Not looking like they're controlling people, I mean.  Not that I'm good at it.  I don't like the blunt psychical force method, though.

But, uh, thanks.

Huh. My therapist just talks with me. Not really like she's trying to do anything either. We just talk. Sometimes she asks directly about more serious stuff but not too often. Really she's more of a friend now... She visits to talk with me and hang around sometimes too. Honestly I think she started as a therapist and eventually just became a friend. Though she still helps me.

On unrelated matters, I have to deal with drama amongst friends. Goddamn it, guys. Quit ruining my illusions about how people were supposed to get mature and start freaking out about things other than who you think is plotting to ruin your friendships, or who betrayed your trust by not acquiescing to your every whim. I was hoping you guys would start freaking out about, you know, important things! Like Facebook's new layout! Or Sony's new EULA!
