In one hour, my German final starts.  My stomach really hurts from stress.
By the time you read this you will likely be done with it, in which case congratulations for replacing the sinking feeling of dread in your stomach with relief. Bluh tests and deadlines.

I'm having difficulty finding my xp installation cd. At this point my best bet is to call around and see if either one of my friends has one or a nearby store like BestBuy has one. I don't really have too many options here and I need web access to work with my messed up college registration issues.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

Vector, I was pretty much exactly the same as you until I found a group of people who would accept me for who I am, and help me to grow into someone better than that.  I'll still always be the shy genius but now I can talk to people and fit in with humanity in my own unique way.  I can't speak for your wants, but maybe what you need is to find someone or some group willing to accept you as a friend, nothing more, nothing less, until you've grown into someone capable of dealing with people.
Or maybe I'm talking out of my ass.  Just ignore me if you want.

 Today was quite...unfortunate...
Had to wake up early to go to the town with my mother and do some shopping and get an adapter...thing that my father needed to fix our house phone. The day started fine, but when we left the car, halfway to the electronics store it started raining. We didn't expect this weather so we didn't take umbrellas. Then we found out that the store moved to the other side of the town. But it wasn't that easy. Due to the stupid layout of our town, we got lost and had to take a huge loop to find the store. Finally we found it and it turns out they're out of the adapter what-you-call-its. Meaning that we bothered for nothing at all.
 It got worse.
My mother tried to start the car, but it didn't work. Something was obviously broken. So, she called the car-repair-person-friend-of-the-family. He said he was busy, so we'd have to wait for some time. So we were doing absolutely nothing for two hours. When he arrived, he said he could only find time to repair it after four days. Luckily, he said the car can still be started. If you start it while pushing it. But we were in a very small parking yard. So my mother started it while we pushed the car. It worked after almost crashing two times.
Me:"Well, it could have been worse."
...Then, out of nowhere, in the summer, a blizzard. Which proves that this day was made just to annoy us. Bothered too much for nothing, won't be able to use the car for 4 days, shitty weather just to add insult to injury.

Not as tragic or interesting as other posts, but I feel a bit better now.

Sorry if this seems intrusive or was common knowledge, but what do you mean about the gauze?

Two days till I have to leave back home, and my baby sister won't even let me hug her. :-/

Godspeed Vector!

If there was such a thing as the Ghost of the German Language, I bet you could easily defeat it with a sword. Or with a pen, because those are known to be more powerful than swords. Actually, I think you'd even be able to use the legendary pensword, which is also the only way to slay the mighty Pendragon, even though it is less useful than penicillin. But the Pentagon will thank you for it.

...I'll stop with the puns now.

But this cheered me up a bit. There are people other than myself who play KoL? Whoo.

Embers.

Many earthly pleasures, such as sauna and campfires, involve live fire. Oh, the fun, the joy when the fire is burning bright! And then, the fire dies... the heat remains in embers, but the message is clear - the party has entered its decline. It's the time to start thinking about the life after the pleasure of sauna. It's time to say goodbye.

Goodbye? Oh no, please, can we go to page one and do it all over again?

Yeah, we could, Pooh. It's the worst thing about embers - we could add some more firewood, and within minutes the fire would be cheerfully roaring again! But... it wouldn't be the same, would it? And it would eventually burn out again... eventually, we'll have to rest.

Embers. The glowing symbol of finiteness of fun...
