It would appear I am unable to access libsyn podcasts for some reason. Which is quite annoying, since almost every podcast I listen to uses it. >_<

edit: Turns out it's a routing problem. Something at 24.29.160.141 is sending my packets to 24.29.164.137 which then endlessly sends them back and forth between itself and 24.29.164.134. And considering the address ends in woh.rr.com, it would appear my fail isp has indeed rolled a 1 on their networking skills.

And it seems i.imgur.com is suffering a similar fate. It goes through the same initial route, but then it gets stuck in a separate yet equally infinite routing loop in the ISP's network. That place is a god damned hall of mirrors. D:
Did you try setting your router to an alternate DNS?
Doesn't seem to help; nor would I expect it to. To put it into a loop somewhere down the line means it's the routing tables of those in the loop which are screwed up. All the DNS server does is turn the url name into the IP address. This problem is caused by someone failing at graph theory.

Want to thank everyone.  I'm doing better today thanks to circumstances changing back past the tipping point.

I know I'm not done, though, so please bear with me.
Just keep in mind that we'll always be here for you. Only trolls have reason to dislike someone who is asking for help.
Or misanthropes, though, chances being they wouldn't even go on forums.
I can still safely say that I'm here for you as well though.

I just saw a review for an album that devolved into the reviewer saying "All 'dem 'durn LIBRAHLS iz evul and CENSOR things! THERE ALL TEH SOCIALISTS!1!1". I'm pretty sure it also said some racist shit, too.

This is the first time I have wanted to punch someone in the face through the internet.

You haven't read comments on anything political in Yahoo News, then. So many idiots asking for a punch there you'd think they're doing it on purpose.

Au contraire. In find this a lot more pleasant than real life interpersonal contact.

The first? Either you have a very high threshold, or you've spent your online life....hell, I can't think of any part of the Internet where you *wouldn't* eventually want to punch someone in the face.

I'm unhappy because I just had to listen through a whole Asia album and an 80's Yes album.

I can't remember exactly because of the fit of rage I had seconds after (Ok, less of a fit, more of a facepalm session). It was some Pantera album. Probably TGSTK

Excessively gory nightmares.

Taking today off from German class so that I can spend those extra 8 hours (class + transportation + necessary wind-down from class) catching up with German class, chores, and the entire carnival.  Probably a good thing because I can tell I'm a bit too mentally unstable right now, but all the same it'd be nice to be able to get on top of things without missing gobs of class time.

I was reading about burnout syndrome and noticed some disturbing similarities between the stages of it and my own life over the past few years. Luckily, I'm pretty certain that the similarities are just coincidences and I don't actually have burnout syndrome. If you want to be paranoid, look no further than the descriptions of mental illnesses. You'll think you have every disorder possible by the end of the day.

Steam account is suspended for a couple of days.
Will fix it tomorrow, but it's still annoying to be stuck without most of my games.
