Welp, I say my goodbyes to all you fine folks for the next three weeks. Sporadic access to the computer will be a given, and I'll try to upload photos from Switzerland when I can. I guess this is my final goodbye before the trip.

We'll keep the lights on for you broski.  Maybe when you get back, you'll actually get on Steam at human hours again.

I've met swedes who have come to Norway on May 17 because the Swedish national day is so boring. In return we send all our drunks to Strömstad on May 16. It's an acceptable switch.
Hehe, yeah, as I think I wrote at the time, your national day is a bigger thing in Sweden than our own ;) Of course, a lot of it is spend making fun of Norwegians. A time honoured tradition, if ever there was one.
Though, sending your drunks over at the 16th don't matter much, though, that's ten days too late for our day anyway :P

Don't let the Swiss Neutrality Field get to you while you're there.

Writing up a nice long post and then discovering that the Forums were down for the upgrade. Now can't remember what I wrote...

Went to make myself a sandwich and realised at least 70% of my fridge's content is completely rotten or out of date.

Ugh.

Finished up my 2nd full game of Crusader Kings: Deus Vult, and it's got some intriguing possibilities for future play. Russia is split mostly between a feudal principality (Cheremisa) and a massive bishopric/metropolitan, to the point where the AI might be able to get a Russian unification in EU3 as a Theocracy.

Or at least, it could if I could find a damn converter that works. Seeing as how I wanted to convert to EU3:DW, and there's no converter for that yet, I figured I could convert for an older version and then use a save editor to tweak it enough for DW usage. But I can't even get a conversion to an older one working. So finally I said "f**k it, I'll do it by hand" and spent about 30 hours over the past holiday weekend creating charts and spreadsheets and going over maps to do the province conversion (working from the cvmod.txt from the existing converters as a guide), only to discover what every other modder has already figured out -- it's damn near impossible. Germany is a complete clusterf*ck when it comes to map conversion, and while I could convert economy and manpower and then guesstimate a rough split of values across provinces.....it'll take me YEARS to get a decent conversion by hand.  :'(

CK2 will probably be out long before I finish this conversion (and yes, I'm still going to keep pushing forward with it)

One of the appeals of finishing my drivers license, was to improve socialising. However once I've told my friends, it's all about going out in the evening.
I really hoped I've reached the point where socialising was no longer tied to getting drunk, sitting around in a dense cloud of cigarette smoke and making a fool out of oneself.
There's simply no appeal whatsoever in it for me.

Also my dad is shitting all over the things I'm doing again.
Especially my diet. I could easily fix it with sports alone, he says. I've just been a "sissy" the last time I tried for more than a month, with no effect whatsoever, besides some pulled muscles.
Everything I do is useless and I won't change anything, he says.

Thanks, dad. By the way, you're one of the reasons why I got chubby in the first place.
Thanks, for being such a fucktard.

You know how I've jokingly mentioned how I don't eat real food and I'm fine, so there must not be a problem with not eating real food?

Yeah, I just mowed my aunt's lawn in 100+ degree heat, having eaten or drank nothing today, then headed down to the cold, clammy basement.  Blood sugar/pressure did what you'd expect, huge brownout, I fell (Thankfully with enough presence of mind to put my hands up) and times were pretty shitty all around.

So I've decided to start getting more nutrients in my diet.  Gonna eat peanut butter more for protein, and I found this supplement that's basically dehydrated fruit and vegetables in pill form like something out of the Jetsons.  A day's worth of fruits and vegetables in gigantic horse pill form.

Yeah, you do need to balance things out, especially if environmental factors are putting stress on your system.
I've come to enjoy certain drink mixes for this reason. No sugar, few calories, and a load of vitamin c, something I'm normally lacking.
They taste pretty decent, so it's a win-win.

As for sad, I'm still unemployed. Yay.  ::)
