Just received news that a family of former neighbors, who include some of my older son's best friends, have been royally screwed over and may be without a place to live in a week :(

Just had an unsettling incident at work. I hope what I came across was much less than I think it was. Also hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the ass.

You were dealing with Federal Agents, weren't you? I remember something about that.

Is this the kind of incident that could see you put in jail if you talk about it? Don't say that it is if saying that it is would put you in jail, though.

No, but it is the sort of thing that could wind up having me testify before Internal Affairs or OPM or even DOJ if my gut turns out to be right. Don't want to discuss details until I find out if I was right, or just overreacting. Basically I was asked (by an agent) to do something that set off a red flag in my head, and instead I documented it and passed it up my chain of command.

Well, I'm pretty miserable.  Remind me to never argue with my mom again about anything >_>

Nah, I don't feel that bad.  I guess I learned something, i.e. what she actually intended for me to learn.  But that doesn't mean that she didn't piss me off while doing it >_>

Get home from my friend's house and suddenly my computer couldn't get an internet connection for about 4 hours. :\

I had a shitstorm with my parents this morning while trying to insure the bike, ended up with a migraine for the rest of the day and better understanding of why i never will talk to them again about shit if they are dragging on about how shit would be better with me there. at this point im still shaking my head from idiocy.

also my damn conversation with dmv guy then to insurance guy
dmv: "Sure you can register without your endorsement even with your age!"

after telling that to the insurance guy
insurance: "Thats bullshit"
me: ::)

I was looking thorough that thread where I tried to start drawing (learning Ruby is so much fucking easier it's criminal) and I found that ein had posted a tutorial in it. I download it, and it's untranslated Japanese. D: Any other language I could handle, but, I can't even translate it without some more character work.

Dammit, I seem to have grown up again and can no longer enjoy a lot of stuff that would've been fairly awesome just a month or two ago.

These things apparently include Pirates of the Caribbean (as aforementioned) and the vast majority of the X-Men franchise.

I want to be 13 again, when this was all new and I couldn't recognize sour storylines told poorly.  The concepts are brilliant, but I think I'm sticking to Batman.

The hill overlooking the city was just set on fire at several places, too quickly to be accidental, and it was so green :(

I was very close to beating Singularity: Transcendence, and got killed by bad luck.

I had hallucinogenic nightmares I couldn't escape for awhile from for the first time in ages (I can normally lucid dream and direct my dream's direction), then I found myself awake at my laptop playing sad music and almost instinctively facedesk'd.

Actually strikes me as funny now, but hello strange 4am.

My internet at home DCs every 10 minutes.  Last night at my friends place, their internet started doing the same thing.  I really hope my computer doesn't have a virus that's making that happen D:
