Yeeeaah. Depression isn't simply "being sad."

You can't just give a person suffering from depression a pep talk and expect them to get better. Their state of mind is caused by internal factors that have nothing to do with the world around them.

Actually, that attitude was what ended up making me so depressed that I dropped out of school due to being unable to continue.  I was almost diagnosed with manic-depression because I was so good at the happy-making part--but it would always catch back up to me eventually, worse and worse, swinging down farther and farther.

That's why I'm just going to relax and ride with it, because I'm never making myself hurt that much again for any reason.

Eh. It's worked for me. If you've tried it though maybe there's just something different in your head. Maybe that part that makes you like math and makes me hate it with a vengance.

Fuck the number two.

EDIT: *fingersnap* You must've been supressing it, instead of outright destroying it like I do. Oh well, you'll come out of this eventually, Vector. Don't worry, you have friends all over the world here!

Note:  Not in support of Karne's statements.  Just saw a fun opportunity to link some van Canto.

Old habits never die, it seems.  My mother had to strong arm me into checking up information on Digipen, things like tuition costs, classes, financial aid, how to apply, so on.  I should have done this myself ages ago, but I could never get myself to actually do it.  One college degree and two years later, I'm still pretty hopeless at motivating myself without my mother <_<

I just recently landed a temporary job assignment which I can't talk in specifics about (TOP SECRET and all that)... but I'm super-anxious about an audit I'm having tomorrow. Each of the new hires has to reach and maintain certain standards, but so far none of us have been able to even get close due to damage to the materials we work with. There's a decent amount of turn-around here, so they can afford to replace us too, which is troublesome to say the least.

I'm anxious enough about it that I'm having trouble getting to sleep. I just keep on thinking about how much I really really need to keep this income source, at least until I can repay folks I've had to borrow from, and get enough income to be stable again... but this isn't the sort of job I can work part-time. It's all or nothing, for 2 years.

On that note, I'm a bit anxious about the notion of staying on the project too. Finishing with school is my primary concern right now, and I hired in under the pretense of only being a part-time student; I want to do school full-time, but I really can't afford to live without a decent chunk of work. It also sucks that this is the first job I've been able to land in months, and it's an entirely inflexible full-time deal. I'm having trouble finding out what I should do.

I keep falling into this bind, having to decide between work and school... and I really do hate it. I'm worried that I can't make progress in my life without falling apart somewhere else; If I focus on school as I tried, I fall apart financially. If I focus on earning an income, I get stuck walking in circles. Argh!

On the sleeping bit, at least, some form of meditation may help clear your mind enough to make that easier.

Getting depressed over something that used to make me happy. The worst part is it concerns matters of a secretive nature, and everyone I can talk to about it is either involved or doesn't understand the situation well enough to give me any useful advice. That gives me two choices, either let the secret out and possibly feel even worse about it, or keep the secret until the feeling either eventually passes or ends up destroying me from the inside out. There are so many unknown variables in the situation it's hard to make a choice, and if I don't eventually choose it'll practically be chosen for me.

I think I would remember if I had amnesia.
I'd like to remind everyone that half of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. The other half of the time I only sort of know what I'm talking about.

take that cat to a vet at once.
I just told that story about my cat because someone else talked about cat problems. It has been years ago and he's fine. :)

Lately I've had little energy and no appetite. I've barely managed 1 meal a day the past week or so, and I was forced to eat that. Also, I made a group of really good friends a while ago and I realized I'll get to see them 4 days a year :-\

I needed to get a 4 (out of 10) for a test I made today to be sure I wouldn't have to do the year all over again. It didn't went very well >.<
I obviously don't need to do it very good to get a 4 but still... It really went bad :(
I just got my mark: a 3,9
My math skills apparently suck because it's still high enough for me to pass =D
