Apparantly, planking's going to be banned in Australia.

This is more confusing to me than it is sad, but since our government seems to enjoy banning things, I'm going to post it here.

But it's necessary to protect people from their own stupidity. Or something.

It's not the governments job to protect me from my mistakes. It's my job. If I want to do something that's likely to impale me on a fence, I shall.

Eh. Ever since Russia went capitalist, I started to dislike it.

I make mein own German. It is much better than the real one.

It also contains a vast larger amount of bad Nazi jokes.

I hate to say this, but for all the "Ohhh, German is so close to English!  It's great!" I've found learning French, Japanese, Russian, and Arabic both simpler and more engaging.

Part of my problem, I think, is that I look at it and think "Get a spellchecker, you tits, this is just embarrassing :I" and then I realize that it's spelled correctly >_>

Yeah, most of my classmates who picked it during middleschool had roughly the same impression. I chose Spanish, but I ended up learning a lot German anyway from my brothers studies and his insistance to speak it with my ma and pa at home. Well, a little, at least. Enough to understand it rather well, but not be very good at speaking it It's just a weird language. Hence why I prefer my own, simplified and improvised version. It's funnier too ;)

... but I kinda think the same about this.

I copied some notes from a classmate who in turn had them copied from somebody else. Apparently whoever had them first thought so too, because they "corrected" the grammatically fine sentences with poorly mangled German.
