My brother is a rampaging drunk douche bag with no real skills or accomplishments, just very smart (supposedly) with no ambition and is extremely lazy. He has no fucking thing going for him, so he is an ass hole to everyone. His big things in life that he clings to are that 7 years ago he won a gold medal at a state wide competition in his senior year. Now, I'm entering the same as a freshmen, and it would be really fun if not for him. My mom asked me to let him help and be a part of things because it might help his shiftless ass. Instead, he broke down my device, designed to handle the rules and launch over a wall and then into a target zone. He then built a device that fires in a straight line, follows his 7 year old rule set, and does not work at all (fires 2 meters too low and a meter too far). He freaks the fuck out if I try to change anything so that it won't be a massive failure. I told him to fuck off, so he decks me in the face and breaks his shitty device screaming something to the affect of "You can't have what you aren't grateful for" and burned the graphs I had made with the functioning device, before he came in. Couple minutes ago I found him crying outside while he was downing some vodka, apparently because I didn't look up to him as a big brother and didn't respect his 'greatness' at this thing.

Coupled with my other post, life at the moment is bullshit to an intense degree. There is an upswing though.

Next week my history teacher, who is The Guy, is doing a college level paper that will get published at the college. I'm one of six or seven students he picked to help with research and writing (we research and write on a topic, all of them being coordinated together, while he researches all of them and writes his own papers and does some wrap-up synopsis stuff). Also, if you read the abomination thread about Valentines gifts in Life Advice, the girl I mentioned said sure, and our first date is scheduled soon enough

Steam crashed on me randomly and is now not letting me log in. Dammit valve.

I had that happen once. I reset my machine. In case that doesn't work, give it a moment to realize. Otherwise contact Support about it.

Anyway, work was more a chore today and I'm tired; add to it, I was playing around with one of my cats, and he scratched me in the face. Not bad, but it kinda burns right now; being surface scratches and all.

 My sister is coming down with the flu. And not the usual get over it in a week flu, but one of those really heavy several-week flu. It is enough to get her out of college classes with a doctors note.

My Steam ID is in my profile. It's still disabled so I won't be able to respond immediately; and until this mass hijack is over, and in a couple more weeks when I can collect another paycheck so I can pay off Steam, will I be able to respond to any requests.

I'm sorta deliberately staying disabled so I have a sort of oddball immunity to any hijacking of my profile. You know, using one problem to prevent another. It's like a weird game of chess considering how this is playing out.

Heh, turns out that according to my profile on Steam, I've been out for 3 weeks so far.
