Then do it! Or at least for a few hours, rather then forever.

I'm not sure why the rags work, but they do.
It really helps a lot.
For me, if I just take aspirin, it helps a little, but doesn't solve much.
Often, with the rags, I'll actually not have a headache when I'm done.
Also, the rag over the eyes helps with eye pains if you're like me and get sore if you have much light aside from a computer and television.
Meanwhile, I prefer wet to dry because when the water cools, it's a cooling thing, sort of like those icy hot patches or whatever.

Oh, also, you can turn down the brightness on your screen and it helps a lot too.

I know this sounds insane, but try cracking your neck. I used to get migranes that would make me collapse and convulse in pain and cracking my neck helped alot. For a few minutes, that is.

I'm not a huge fan of aspirin, so although headaches aren't that big of a problem for me for the most part, when I do get a bad one it sucks.

I get terrible headaches from staying up late, and I'm pretty sure the trigger was a bright monitor, and no backlighting (the folks who designed my apartment didn't see any reason to put lights in the rooms, and just clustered them all in the 5 foot hallway instead, all on the same switch). As soon as I bought and installed a nice floor lamp, they went away.

My painkiller of choice (other than endorphins, but those require inflicting personal harm :b) is ibuprofen.
Aspirin, however, works great on headaches.
According to Wikipedia, it actually seems to work well with caffeine.

I'm not a huge fan of any drugs to be honest.  :P
They kind of fall under the phobia category for me. But there is an upside! I'm the only one in my family to have never tried smoking, and I drink a lot less then a lot of my friends.

You should be able to just feel what's causing your headache; be it lacking certain nutrients (you can summon up a craving if so), lacking water, lacking sleep, or straining something too much. All fairly easy to remedy once you take a look.

Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

What I've noticed is some pretty bad headaches are actually neck aches. It's just hard to notice. Try to soothe your neck, too.

I get those all the time. Usually I can just crack my neck, but sometimes they are so bad that I can't seem to get rid of them for a whole day.
