Oh, I see this all the time on the internet. As much as I understand some people are mentally handicapped in one way or another (like me, except on the AS spectrum), deluding yourself into elitism on the basis of your handicap can be pretty siily!

Everyone wants to feel that they're special.

Lol!, I just made an unintentional funny!

I swear I've honestly read something almost exactly like that same article on an autism forum somewhere, but with "asperger's" and "neurotypical" written in appropriate slots.

Fixed. Seriously, I've come to the conclusion that EVERYONE is messed-up and dysfunctional at some level. Some just work around it or hide it better than others.

*sigh*

Basically, as far as I can tell it's an INTJ or someone vaguely along in the autism spectrum who thinks they're way smarter than they actually are.  I'm talking about the heavy emphasis on "introverts talk about facts."  "Introverts are heavily honest."  "We all have super-special intellectual interests."  Not all introverts are scientifically minded, and, in fact... I'm kind of doubting that a lot of those artists and writers are sitting there saying "it was green" or "the weather was okay."

That, and introversion isn't "normal."  However, it isn't a negative, either.  Using loaded terminology like that just confuses the actual message.

Ohh, and the "extraverts are intolerant" thing?  That's just ridiculous.

... That the dude thinks this article might possibly be humorous?

I have most of those traits and i am now considered extroverted. Again psychology doesn't come with a lump list, there is always a difference.

You have a good metabolism. Mine is O.K at times, I can occasionly eat SHITLOADS of junk food and not put on anything but that rarely happens.

I could have been there for 3 years now.
Lost one year to choosing a school that takes a year longer, one to failing a term and one to compulsory military service.

I still do believe that all hope isn't lost. There's the remote chance I can make something out of myself.

Tired of articles like this.

That's made some rounds among my friends on facebook tonight.  I've read a few articles like this, but I've never found one I really liked.  I like that there's some movement to raise awareness on the issue, as I think it's really needed... but I have yet to see an article or blog post on the subject that didn't make introverts look whiny, helpless, and pretentious.  It's really annoying.  Anybody ever find one of these that doesn't suck?

Would it have killed you to remove the Facebook part of the link (like I did in the quote)? It's annoying to click on a link outside of Facebook and get a "You are now leaving facebook" page.
