Yup, I'm the only person I've seen who's given up a seat on the bus unprompted for someone else.  Immediately after I did that, another girl did too, kind of tentatively.

That was nice to see.
I've seen a ton of dudes give up their seat if a woman was standing, girls give up their seats when an elderly person is standing and once saw somebody give their seat for somebody who was carrying a lot of junk. I think something like that is better judged area by area.

You know how sometimes people say knowing something and expecting things to go exactly like you don't want them helps? And how getting other plans ready instead for them helps?

Well yeah. For me at least, that's bullshit.

On the subject of Duke Nukem and sexism: I think the feminist blog in question doesn't understand over the top satire and self-parody.
The feminist blog in question understands it and doesn't enjoy that sort of humor for a number of reasons.  There's a big difference between "doesn't understand" and "understands, but condemns."
There's a reason it's called over-the-top satire.

Those god proofs made me sad today. Here is why.

TRANSCENDENTAL ARGUMENT, a.k.a. PRESUPPOSITIONALIST (I)
(1) If reason exists then God exists.
(2) Reason exists.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

This one somehow equates a God to Reason with no given basis for doing so, which is downright hilarious from my perspective.

ARGUMENT FROM ASSUMPTION
(1) God exists.
(2) Therefore, God exists.

It's right in the title. I could just as easily say, "God does not exist, therefore God does not exist." and be just as well proven.

HUGH ROSS’S ARGUMENT FROM REALLY BIG NUMBERS
(1) I have a Really Big Numbers Theory that shows that the universe and Earth were fine-tuned and evolution is impossible.
(2) My Really Big Numbers Theory also predicts that I will find more really big numbers.
(3) I've found more really big numbers.
(4) This shows that my theory is scientific and correct.
(5) Plus, I'm a real scientist — an astronomer with a PhD.
(6) My Really Big Numbers Theory shows that God must have created the universe and life.
(7) Therefore, there are Reasons To Believe (tm) in God.
{8) Therefore, God exists.

So many things. The RBNT is never explained, being a 'real scientist' does not even imply correctness, and the assumption that there are Reasons To Believe (tm) is wholly based on the fact that there are big numbers. Whuh-?

ARGUMENT FROM DIVINE HIDDENNESS
(1) There is no reliable evidence for God.
(2) This must be because He wants to remain hidden, so we need faith.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

Alternate assumption: There is no evidence of a god because there is no god. Therefore, God does not exist.

ARGUMENT FROM TIDES AND SUN, BY BILL O'REILLY
(1) The tides come in the tides go out.
(2) The sun go(es) up, the sun go(es) down.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

Flapjacks gargle bubbling centipedes all throughout candyland with drumsticks. Therefore, God does not exist. More seriously, did Bill O'Reilly forget that the tides are caused by gravitational differences in the pull of the moon on either side of the Earth, and that the Earth in fact rotates?

SO many more. These aren't proofs. They are proof-shaped puddles of sheer idiocy. At least all the ones I've looked at. I don't care whether there's a god or not. But if someone wants to prove it, at least they can use logic correctly.

I hate romance novels, and not just because I'm a guy (as a general rule, most of my friends start screaming whore when someone mentions Twilight), or probably in the main age group of hate. Show me a group of romance novels that are written from a male's perspective that AREN'T porn, or completely horribly written, and I'll laugh my ass off and call you a liar.
Aren't most "romance novels" considered porn even when they're aimed at women? That was my impression of what the term meant.
I forgot the line to scratch out men and put everyone. Romance novels are really bad porn for people who cant write.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

After reading a few, I became convinced that it was over-the-top satire.

Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”

Yeah, this is just the Berkeley bus.  Mileages may vary, and often times there's so many people standing that chivalry can't really happen in a big way.

Don't be so sure.

I feel silly for not noticing the top of the page. (And yeah, I do remember your participation, in general terms at least. Might be the wrong place to offer you a high-five on something as trivial as holding a position similar to my own, but why not. Consider the offer made!)

Not all games should be forced to be equal, but I'd like it if the vast, vast, vastly overwhelming majority of them weren't tipped to one side, to the point where those that aren't tipped form a separate genre regardless of other theme.

That's all.

*shrug*

I don't care about how the games are tipped as much as I care that no one is hurt or forced to anything they don't want to in real life though I would of course like more games that explored my sexuality. Also, you said no gemales in FPS, didn't you? Portal. Theres also another one, but I forgot it's name. Eitherway, men and women are both represented hugely as stereotypes in most games, most roleplayers play stereotyped characters and most films and books are stereotyped as well. We stereotype! Dunno why but it is definately NOT a good thing and I have no idea how to stop it either.
