The first Assassin's Creed takes two hours to download, downloads wrong, redownloads, runs like shit despite coming out four years ago (and most recent releases are working fine on my computer), crashes randomly for no reason I can see, goes into windowed mode at random (which makes the cursor impossible to keep in the game itself, leading to random freezes and presumably making gameplay impossible if I ever get that far), won't load the first tutorial (first by crashing and then loading ceaselessly) and every time I restart to see if my tinkering fixed the problem I have to sit through five minutes of fucking inane pointless dialogue spouted by Captain Bland and Fishlips that I can't skip because Ubisoft is secretly trying to drive me insane.

It is working.

It's common goddamn decency and logic to have skippable cutscenes, especially if someone's looking to replay the game and doesn't want to have to sit through Desmond being shocked in an impossibly dull way at them for the next 10 minutes.

The only people who actually like unskippable cutscenes are jerks who are so amazed by their EPIC STORYLINE and AWARD WINNING DIALOGUE that they think it's the whole point of their game.

I'm waiting for a game with skippable gameplay.

Unskippable cutscenes are the reason why I hardly ever enjoy playing modern games. I never actually found an unskippable cutscene in a PS1 game.

I know 5, 7, and 9 all had em.

7 had the particularly annoying really long cutscenes for every summon.

I'm not sure how favourably that compares to M2:TW failing to start until I reinstall it, loading properly once when I didn't have time to go past the main menu, then going back to not working, even after I reinstalled it again.
