Homophobia can be difficult to define. I've been in situations where I've been complimented by gay guys, and that makes me feel good. I will not hesitate to hug a friend or someone I trust, regardless of gender or orientation. However, there are situations where one or two gay guys I don't really care for have hit on me continually, and in so doing step way beyond the bounds of personal space... trying to hang on me, get in touch with me, etc. and it makes me feel really skeezy. I do not enjoy when that happens at all.

For that, I've been called a Homophobe. Go figure.

Ah, well, those people are douches. Gays should realize that straight people are straight and they should not be hit on... I learnt that rather quickly.

Humanity is really cool! There are just pockets of bad that are sometimes left to get much bigger than they ought to, which is when decent people have to step up and fix them. We're improving, bit by bit.
