Went to collect my paycheck today, only to learn that the delivery of them for the place I work still hasn't arrived for a few days now. Add to it that I have bills to pay, I'm not in the best of moods.

You still actually get paid in paper checks??  In what, shillings and farthings?  ;)

Well, although I have a direct deposit option, I choose to pickup the checks so I not only have them physically, but also some solid paperwork in case I need to file anything, or to keep track of my income through an excel worksheet I made that uses the info on them. Plus, I'm used to the old style of doing things.

God damned sinuses and their constant bitching, i blew over a mild cold a month or so ago but my sinuses keep producing this god damned muck or goo that keeps dripping down my throath, and it's horribly annoying and it stinks horribly

Terrible. 40k is a curse on pretty much everything.

Ugh, parents. Shriek at me and then expect me to leap out of bed. Then the find some excuse the yell when I can't.
I'm not totally understanding the situation here. You were supposed to get out of bed and didn't, then blame them for looking for an excuse to yell at you? Context will have to be given to make this situation less weird to me.
No. My dad basically kicked the door open, busted my ears shouting get up, and then came back 4 seconds later, and got pissed-er when I wasn't already fully dressed (Was sitting up in a daze; I sleep in just my underwear.) and so in the ensuing rant on his part, I was doing my best  to be attentive while he was shouting. At the end? He got mad at me for not getting dressed while he was talking. >.<

Great.  40k is fun when you don't take the lore seriously.

I'd have started yelling back, wonder why I moved out 1 month after turning 17.

Besides, even if you're averse to attracting attention using visual hooks, you've still (at least in part) tried to attract it by posting the above messages, no?

Actually, I was only complaining about the little attention it recieved. I didn't want it to become popular (I don't think i could manage something like that), but I was at the very least hoping for a few posts in it's first day. I wasn't trying to attract attention, my previous post was a joke. But it actually has seen several posts since then. That could be due to the link in my signature, though I doubt it. So unintended benefits, then.

I'm starting to wonder if there's a comment that Janet doesn't have a picture for.
