I can never understand why some people find cooking so hard. If it's not wriggling anymore, just dice it up and spice it. Fire is optional.

Cooking isn't hard. Finding the time, and cooking something right/tasty/nutritious/on a budget is what's the problem.

Regarding the somewhat prelevant topic of the education system(s) and it's follies, as well as the discussion on how to actually fix it, I'd like to recommend to all interested listening to one Ken Robinson, whose talks can be easily found either on ted.com or fora.tv(great sites by the way). The man can give a lecture on a serious topic while being funnier than most professional comedians, so these would be worth watching even if they were not relevant.
Truth be told, there isn't that much content-to-filler ratio in his talks, but the few points he makes are worth noting.

There is ALWAYS time for cooking! And you cannot imagine what awesome things you can do with uncooked (pathogen-free) meat.

Oh, I definitely can.

Laziness is the problem, then.

I will reinforce the Ken Robinson recommendation.

As for cooking, I just don't care that much about food.  I try to avoid some of the worst stuff for my health most of the time.  Otherwise, good food is nice, but it has absolutely no relevance beyond the 10 minutes it takes to eat it.  I'm one of those people who would just take a pill to keep myself fueled if I could.

I pity you. You're missing out.

There's healthy food, there's delicious food, there's food that you keep eating just because your brain can't possibly believe what your tongue just told it it was in the mouth.

I seriously doubt it.

Try eating foodshakes for a month, as in just grinding your ingredients, meat, water and all, into a mixer. Come back to me and tell me what you think after that.

Also, pills are not filling at all.

The assumption is that this pill would also make you feel full, I guess.

Antiacids and some sponge-like substance that inflates in your stomach and keeps it busy. The human body has all kinds of annoying automatisms.

I am now going to change the entire scope of my education just so that I can become head of the medicine department in VU.

"Good morning, ladies and Gentlemen, I am Dr Armitage. By seeing the 'Dr' in my name you can tell that I gave up an expensive and luxurious life as some sort of medical professional, in order to teach here. It also could mean that I did a Doctorate of Philosophy in any given subject. I did both. This makes me extra passionate, and puts a large burden upon you, the students. Because in every class, there are two types of students that do well. There are those bursting with natural talent, and there are those who work insanely hard. If you are not both, I suggest you leave immediately because the coursework I has set is guaranteed to weed you out and send you crawling back to the idiot masses. Welcome to the start of a new term"

And then I would make the entire coursework be 80% prac.
And possibly help teach the 'Bachelor Survival' classes Vector has planned.

Also, I will coach the Basketball team. And it will be hilarious because the Basketball team will be an unappreciated minority.

Surviving as a bachelor by not having mountains of unwashed festering dishes and not picking what clothes to wear by "It's stopped stinking". Also, cooking edible food.
