We have the police on the case, and it's been reported on the news, and there's nothing further we can do but wait. No, he's not been diagnosed with Alzheimers, but we have had our suspicions for a while.

At this stage, there isn't musch you can do but wait. You can choose to go out and look for yourself, but I'm sure you're a busy man, and the police will most likely have a much better chance than you do.

I hope you'll be reunited with your grandfather soon. I'm sorry I can't be of any more help.

As of about 5 minutes ago, he's been spotted, but no word on medical status yet.

Edit: He's alert and conscious, and being taken to the hospital now. To the happy thread!

I am currently embarrassed by the level of shit-kicking I'm doing in my abstract algebra course.

Very, very embarrassed.

what, Linear Algebra?

... No, abstract algebra.

Groups, rings, fields, category theory, modules, integral domains, isomorphisms, homomorphisms, antimorphisms, actions of a group on a set... sound familiar?

Yes, of course. I mean, we're all mathematical wizards here, amirite? ::)

Good, I'm glad to be in such mathematical company :D

Anyway, abstract algebra is what arithmetic wants to be when it grows up, basically.  I don't think I can explain it any clearer than that =/  I'm... not really sure what it is, myself.

>_>

I actually found abstract much more easy than linear, but that may just be a function of personality and a deep hatred of indices.  God, I hate linear algebra.

I've been doing Electronics for four years now and it's pretty much just math.  Units are the variables.
