for me it's a matter of commitment. I don't want a short fling.
Stupid libido, always cranked up to 11.
I share your problem and Aqizzar's.

They aren't very mutually compatible. Mostly I go and talk to girls, and then fail to percieve their interest in me, and then leave on a friendly note.
Only to have her - and my friends say 'you know she was really into you, right?'

Has happened... more than once.

But yes, luckily for me it's only been just over half a year since I last kissed someone - far, far longer since I last had good healthy intimacy. But yeah, it's been a long time since I last had... more practical intimacy, too.

Hooray sad thread. You win at your game.

It's time for a Best Practices course (sales skills), my friend.

I don't understand. Is that a metaphor?

But yeah, long-term relationship wise, I've got a very particular type, which is very hard to find- mostly because they aren't the kind of girls that are looking to be found.
But, I suppose I'm not the kind of guy who goes out looking, either.
Now how many people here are in the exact same boat? I'm guessing vast quantities.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

No, I'm serious. Sales skills' major focal point is reading nonverbal cues, especially overlapping or conflicting with verbal cues. A person may lie to you, or not say something they should, but their body language doesn't. There are dozens of free "classes" online. Most of them are called "Best Practices".

Sick enough to be unfunctional for most things but healthy enough to still be required to do those things, plus it's still freaking cold outside with snow on the surrounding hills, and last week you could go out in a t-shirt

Aside from hugs I've given friends, I've not been physically intimate with anyone for over a year now. That doesn't make me sad, really; I've had a few opportunities to since, but I've never been looking for physical relationships or flings. I'm striking a comfortable balance of time alone to spend on projects and such, and time with friends to share things and experiences with, that I've been quite content. Maybe my past relationships have been with clingy folks, but I've never felt like I got enough time to myself that I didn't feel like I was losing out on a lot of other opportunities, or at least pressured against them. (Maybe that's really selfish of me? I'unno.)

I wish I didn't rely quite so heavily on outside encouragement to push myself to do things, though. I let outside opinions influence me strongly, and take written word and expert opinion as truth more often than I'm driven to question it. Not sure if it's a matter of self-confidence or what, but it irks me when I catch myself doing it.

It's tough to know what is right, when you lack a cosmic rubric.

Just beat the first Silent Hill game playing start to finish for five or six hours straight. I got the bad ending, it says so on the completion screen.  :(

I'd like to remind everyone that half of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. The other half of the time I only sort of know what I'm talking about.

Man popping into this thread was a mistake, this is all so depressing for someone who wishes she could be there in person for someone. On top of that I seem to be developing insomnia again since I got absolutely no sleep and now no one is awake and available to talk to.

I think Ill just go cry now.

Argh, I know. Why can't we all just live in the same place so we can all just give each other hugs when we feel bad?

Clean Asia (from CACTUSQUID), and Warning Forever (from Hizoka'n-CHI X), are both fun ones you may not have heard of.

Cactus has a lot of other fun games there too that fit the Bullet Hell category, along with some fun experimental puzzle games like the Mondo Medicals series (which is fantastically surreal).
