How can that possibly be a bad thing?

Because you don't get the extra down time to reflect on anything so it's hard for the stories to make any real impact on you.

I too have been afflicted with this.

Also, you spend a lot of money on books.

He has to take very fast bathroom breaks. Or else, use War and Peace as his bathroom reading material.

There's gutenberg.

And other websites with books, of course.

I never clear my browser cache or history.  I can tell which threads on this forum I've viewed by what color the main link is.  The one exception is this SAD thread - I never once clicked on the frontpage link, only the page-number links.

I just accidentally clicked on the frontpage link.  Weird-ass principle record thing: broken.

Never ever?  I clear it pretty much every time a page takes more than a few seconds to load.

Also, I'm trying to do the Barbarossa Nuzlocke challenge but the three-level limit and no running away thing is killing me.  DASH GNMTL is being forced to fight and leveling too fast for me to catch anything else.  It's a vicious cycle.  I think I'm going to downgrade to the original one.  That makes me sad.

Not even when you have browser history over a year old? Seriously though, its a good idea to clear the history and browser cache one in a while. I don't do it often myself anyway.

As for the sad thing, RIP Richard Holbrooke, top diplomat for Afghanistan and Pakistan. I'm not crying over it but it is a little bit sad for me since he is such a major figure. This is also going to become a now what moment for mideast diplomacy now that such a influental diplomat is dead.

Richard Holbrooke died?  Oh...  Well, shit.

I see no reason to clear my browser ever.  Why would I not want to know what pages I've visited?

I think it's more other people knowing what pages you visited.

Cthulhu! I am cheer you up! Just catch another Pokemon and level it up. The rule doesn't say that you can't catch lower level Pokemon, it says that you should raise them to be within three levels of your highest level Pokemon.

there's a difference between history and cache

your history will keep a record of where you've been, but your cache keeps what it assumes is common elements to the visited webpage saved in there to cut down on loading time and bandwidth the next time you visit the page

which is nice and all but some sites are complete nutcrunches about making sure the browser knows that there's new or altered content on a page, so you end up loading an old or incomplete version of the site from your cache and you miss out on whatever new content is there

it's the cache that's making your links turn different colours (switching from a:href to a:visited), not your history

I need to work on remembering to compile things from source.
I have little space to spare in /.
Can't blow that tiny 7 gigs on normal programs, gotta put 'em in /home.

Whoa, massive deja vu when loading the thread after posting.
That doesn't make me sad, though, just weirded out.
