VICIOUS CYCLE: I broke 2 or so expensive headsets. Parents say "No, if you're gonna break them so much, we're getting you the cheap ones."

Proceed a year or two, I've gone through like ten 10 dollar headsets. I could have gotten a good pair that lasted this long for cheaper! D:

it's sad that when a chance for a genuine discussion on a discussion forum is quashed so we can all get back to our non-discussion about sad things instead

I've had my 10 dollar headset... oh probably around a year and a half now. Never had one break on me. The mouse that came with my laptop broke though. Didn't take much to replace it though, 15 for a decent basic wireless mouse.

Mom is apparently upset that younger bro has a separate bank account that she can't micro-manage and she's also saying his fiancee is a gold digger.  I wouldn't be surprised if he's trouble managing his money, the most education our parents gave on spending was our mom whining about how we spend too much then suddenly splurging on shoes and lunch.

The power went out twice tonight. Once in the middle of a Twilight Zone and once in the middle of a Kamen Rider. :(
And now I can't play any of the games I planned to tonight because it could go out again at any minute.

It's a snowstorm! You'd think the power could hold up against snow! It's gentle and fluffy!

I have the opposite issue. It is just above the conditions needed to snow. It taunts me.

Last time I had to write a formulaic poem was in third grade.
What the hell, man?
Fuck it, I'm writing this in iambic pentameter.

And yet, I am limited to a line
Of either puppies or Christmas music.
'Tis but a cruel fate through which I must strive
And endure suff'ring but one final night.

Why I can complain but not write the poem
All in a meter popular because
It featured in xkcd and in
Old works of English poets dead and gone
Is something I can't quite explain away.

I'm not sure all of that is iambic, some of the feet feel awkward.
