I just discovered Calamities of Nature, a comic so offensively bad I'd rather read xkcd.  This comic is awful.  Truly horrendous.  It makes me hate comics for bringing this abomination into the world.

All is forgiven

Edit:  Every shirt he wears is funnier than the last.

What's bad about XKCD?

Much to my shame.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

I think you're confused.  Hipster Hitler is the greatest thing to ever happen to webcomics (Except MSPA or whatever, I dunno)

The one I hate is this

I died a little inside.

Fuck them.  They have no understanding of their subject material.

Just echoing how awesome this comic is, and how awful that other one is.  It's like, the worst excesses of Doonesbury and Ozy and Millie with shitty, "Learn to Draw Newspaper Comics" art.

Is it weird that everything I know of "hipsters" I've learned from parodies/bitching about "hipsters"?  I don't believe I've ever actually seen one.  And I even knew "Emo" guys in highschool, years before it was cool to make fun of Emos.

EDIT: This really is just terrible.  Cthulhu, how did you start reading this?

It was advertised on MSPA.

I hate myself for it, but this one made me smile a bit.

The bolding is bad though, emphasis is all on the wrong words.  Really, all the writing is bad.  It's a funny idea the author completely mangled.

And here I thought those godawful pay-to-read porn comics were a good enough reason to adblock the Hell out of MSPA.  This is what Hussie's agreed to sell pagespace to now?  MAXIMUM ETC.

But man, that Calamities.  We could make a whole thread about what groanfest this is.

Do you think he had just watched Dangerous Knowledge when he made that comic?

I don't know what that means, but there's one comic that's a blatant ripoff of the Calvin and Hobbes comic where he says that Slogan T-Shirts are the American way of expressing individualism.

Turns out there's a whole StumbleUpon channel for terrible webcomics.  Oh hey look, XKCD and Ozy and Millie are right at the top of the list.  I have to admit, this is kind of fun.  I get to feel superior and edgy and ironic and shit, by picking apart how obvious and ideological all the jokes are...

Y'know, we just might be terrible people.  The demons were always here, weren't they?
