Well my laptop has taken the first big steps toward finally giving out.
As much as I am freaking out over my issues, I do wish I would use the money to help secure this window. I probably spend too much time on here, where you need this to keep you sane. Shine on you crazy diamond, and even if you disappear from the web due to your laptop giving up we shall not follow suit. We shall wait and listen. And never forget.

Also, removing the video drivers allowed me to boot normally. Graphical errors are still there, and installing new drivers from the cd don't appear to have helped. Whelp.

Take it from the guy with the golden hat, have a heart of gold. And I'm kinda stuck here in the sad thread reporting my headway in panic, so it would make sense that I would be the first of many to see it and eventually reply. Give some people time and benefit of the doubt.

I saw it, but I had no idea what to say, I mean, what I supposed to say? Every time you post someone comes along and write this huge essay on why you should feel awesome because your awesome and then I put my little "Your awesome" at the end.

Well, of to see a scientist to find out more about this mouth anus thing.

Also, your awesome.

Just wanted to let you know.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

We'd have to send them to a secluded warehouse or something two states over, though.

Although I've been talking to her through this whole ordeal. I will not let my presence go unknown.

She will be missed, and I hold no sympathy for those who hold none for her.

That golden-hatted man was not the first to notice. A fundraiser for a new computer can't be too difficult. A decent netbook/laptop is what, 250 dollars? Twenty of us would have to pay only 12 and a half dollars. Piece of cake.

Last I checked, a decent netbook was 450.
Still, 25 dollars from twenty people really isn't that much.
And my laptop is a really good one that I got for 750.

Well my laptop has taken the first big steps toward finally giving out. My soundcard has gone out. Completely apparently. And I don't think it's coming back. My laptop itself has also been slightly getting worse and worse when it comes to preformance as even Reccettear chugged occasionally. It overheats easily. And even just leaving it closed for too long will make it shut down in fear.

I don't know how long I have till I just dissapear. But rest assured anything and everything is trying so hard to make me miserable. The harder everyone tries to make me happy the harder fate keeps bitchslapping me back down to being a depressed or unstable wreck.

I don't know what to do. This thing is my window into the greater world and I can't replace it myself. And now it's as mute as I am myself and I know this is only the first step.
How long have you had it? It could be as simple as blowing compressed air into it. Also wouldn't hurt to check out the battery, make sure nothing is going wrong with it.

I just thought that attempting would make things worse, but screw fate. Let's hope it's just a simple solution to take care of this.
