I don't know what to say. I'm a bit disgusted at the crowd, but mostly worried for Bill. He's a brilliant, good-natured guy, and I'm quite fond of him.

To me, it sounds like a blood clot in the brain, which eventually culminated in a stroke. I didn't realize he was in his mid 50s... here's hoping that he pulls through okay.

ITT people quote the NY Post quoting a random student and act like it's a fair appraisal of the situation.

Turns out my friend fell off his bike on monday.  He's fine in the long term, but does need some time in hospital (he happens to be my only friend who wears a cycle helmet).

The weird thing is, though... I normally cycle home with him on Monday, just that that day I decided to leave quickly.  If I'd been with him, maybe...

Strokes are things that affect you for life. It makes you a different person. I've seen them happen, and what people are like afterwards.

Yeah. My grandpa had a stroke, and lost the use of the whole left side of his body. He was a totally hoopy frood before that, running around with the horde that was me, my sister, and our cousins...and making stuff for us in his shed, but after that he had to sit around all the time, doing nothing.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

Oh man, poor Bill. I used to watch his show constantly.

I'd like to remind everyone that half of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. The other half of the time I only sort of know what I'm talking about.

Me, too.  Apparently, when I was very young (either before entering school, or just after), I turned to my mom and said: "Mother, did you know that inertia is a property of matter?"

So much laughing >_>

I'm sad because Josephus hasn't been on for more than a month. I wonder whaterver happened to him...
