I have always been my apathetic, Nihilistic, loner, non judgmental self, and anyone who says otherwise is a lier or a thief.

Self-loathing is bad. I can't remember what I've really done though. At least I can't really remember anything particularly bad, but I can't remember anything good either...

I don't loathe my past self, I just think he was an idiot. Well, except for the more recent ones. Some are a work in progress, though.

To be honest, most of my past is a blur.

I remember books I read over ten years ago better then the first five graduation ceremony's I've had.

And I just can't bring myself to care.

Most people at least hate their teenage selves right?

I don't.  I used to, but then I realized that there was really nothing to loathe.

I don't loathe my teenage self. I have more objections about my 18-22 self. But it's not really loathing.

I don't seem to have much of a teenage self.
I went straight from childhood to what people have said is more like a college student.
I don't even know how many times someone at school has asked if I was a senior.

What good would come out of hating your past self?

Yeah, this mostly.

What good would come out of hating your past self?

Seemed like a step up from hating my present self.  :D

I do not hate my past self.

My future self is a prick though.
...This is oddly accurate for me. I don't have anything against my past self, but looking forward my future self just isn't good enough.

Found my Voltron Yellow Lion up in the attic last night and showed it to my four-year-old daughter. She was fairly interested, until she asked what the fins along the back were for, prompting this exchange:

Me: "Oh, those are to help it fly."
Her: "Dad, it can't fly."
Me: "Well, the toy can't. But in the cartoon, it could. They were flying robot...lion...spaceships...that turned into a bigger robot."
Her: "......" (look of utter skepticism)
Me: (meekly) "It made sense when I was a kid...."

Still don't have internetz at home. Good thing I go to school, too. Still...being away from my lifeline, all of my news, all of my information, damn near all of my friends now that we've all drifted apart...it's...it sucks.

I'm pretty sure the dislike of our past selves only shows us how far we've come.

I think it helps as a motivator, but again I don't think it's a good thing because you should be able to find other more positive ways to motivate yourself.
