If you wanted to get back at the examiner, you could write a couple of random, seemingly sound equations leading to an answer, forcing them to work out if you had any thread of logic.

My college actually had a required course on this, because it's a very common problem.

But what was the final exam in that course like?

There is none, because somehow somewhere somebody had pity. Although you do get a large screw-off booklet to finish and they decided to give a ton of arbitrary things names you need to memorize. And lists of things you have to remember the order of because they need SOME content to fill the class up.
