I've seen a little of it. Maybe it's best if it remains cast into the Warp.
Forbidden lore (warp)

Yes Event Horizon. It’s a good sci-fi suspense/horror movie.
I've given up hope that they'll ever find the deleted footage though. Maybe it's in a top secret government archive somewhere
Haven't seen that move in quite awhile, also wasn't aware that there was cut footage that was lost.
Apparently they found and restored some of it since then

The story behind the scenes being deleted and the epic quest to find and restore some of it makes for an amazing horror story idea itself. Leagues of amateur archivists trying to track down lost forbidden footage stored in transylvanian salt mines

Crazy?

I was crazy once...

They locked me in a room.

A rubber room.

A rubber room with rats.

And rats make me crazy.

It is immensely frustrating to have to chase up a food order that wasn't delivered, especially when the driver is apparently saying it was delivered. A fun little cherry on top of a day already involving my gran's increasingly failing health.

Visited my aunt, she's got dementia and living in a carehome now. She seemed happy enough on the whole but she was repeating herself a lot. Some topics came up three or four times.

God, I hope that doesn't happen to me. If it starts and we haven't got treatments by that point I genuinely might off myself before I'm indisposed.

I also wound up accidentally sitting in urine. Lesson learned, check first in carehomes.

Yeah, going through that with my grandparents... there's no might to it, for me. Dementia signs starting up without an accessible and effective method of curing it having been produced yet, I'm offing myself and there's not a damn thing anyone can do to convince me otherwise. There is not a chance in hell I'm going to allow myself to live through that. Suicide at that point is a mercy both for the self and for loved ones, far as I'm concerned.

The loss of just... progressively more and more of everything that makes you who you were, if there's a greater torture than living through that, or watching a loved one live through it, in existence, I'm not aware of it -- and if any do exist, there's not very many of them and it's not possible for them to be much worse. I'm not going to die slow like that, not if I have any capability whatsoever to choose otherwise.

Another day, another reminder that a not-insignificant number of people hate me because of the facts of my existence.

Yaaaaaaaaaaay TERF island...

TERF island will never not make me rofl. Fuck the hate though, you don't have to justify your existence, as exhausting as it is. Are you at least safe?

and in today's edition of ringing in the new year, my first work day of the year starts with the dog having developed copious rectal bleeding overnight

might not make it in today ahahaaaaaaahhhhhh

but yeah, looks like 2024 is starting out cursed, how wonderful

E: on the bright side, I've learned the swiffer heavy duty does a pretty good job of cleaning up blood off whatever this flooring is

it's a good thing to know, really

anyway, doc's got the critter on some meds, if it don't clear things up we'll be going back for blood work and xrays. Poor little mutt seems fine outside the whole "kitchen crime scene cosplay" performance this morning :-\
