Why are people bringing asbestos to your work anyway, I was under the impression that you had to have special crews come out to remove that stuff.

Presumably if you were to hire somebody it takes some kind of qualifiaction/license but basically any roofer complies (more or less). If you're employing people who handle it you got to provide protection, and nobody is allowed to transport it unsealed. But people can renovate their own homes by themselves, just can't drive it around without the appropriate containers or have them unsealed.

My main parc, the one where I am supposed to work and I don't get kilometermoney for going to, is directly adjacent to one of our filiaries, where they handle carboard, styrofoam, agricultural plastics, and asbestos. So the smart people thing to do is to go next door, they sell you a 1m³ for 15€, and you pay 14cent the kilo, and you have a 1x1m opening, and they help you drag it off your trailer with their excavator. The dumb people thing is to buy 140L bags (0,14m³) from us, you have a 20x30cm opening that is inconvenient AF, if you break your asbestos to fit more inside breathing a lot of very harmful dust, and fill it up real nice to valorise your 12€... It will become heavy enough that some subfraction of 6 foot males won't even be able to lift it.

So naturally they only ever come asking friday afternoon, or saturdays, when the sorting hall is closed, get all pissy and cry and lie us a river how they don't have time to deal with it any other moment... Yes that is exactly why the bastard that made me so angry within the first hour of me returning from my sick time off... returned on monday with his 3-4 140L bags, and spent an hour breaking asbestos on our parc to fit them inside. You know after we told him 3 times to not do that here, he moves closer to our office to break it.  I'm allready on ultra thin ice because I'm working off my notice period, and allready had an altercation earlier this year... and I'm still injured at the foot... I would have kicked him in the nuts with 10m take off run, I would have castrated him then and there, kick his pelvis until it is shattered and 3 people come drag me away.

Dude wore a mask himself, his girlfriend not, thinks it's okay to do in a public space and expose everybody but himself, tells you everything you need to know to disqualify him from society vigilante style.

I usually don't stay mad because it costs so much energy to hold grudges but HAY-566 I got you in my crosshair.

Tired, sore, bothered, out of my lane, unmoisturised.

Just not feeling great today for whatever reason.

Microsoft’s acquisition of ActivisionBlizzard has been approved.

They can’t win the game by making a good product so they’ll just buy all the developers instead.

If it were a company other than Activision/Blizzard, I might be upset. As it stands, those companies were cesspools and I wish Microsoft good luck in dealing with the mess.

Eeeyuup. I'm not sure M$ is likely to make them better in any meaningful way, but they're not likely to make 'em worse, at this point, so *shrugs*

Doesn't really change anything for me regardless. I'm still pretty pissed about how they handled reforged and don't intend to touch anything blizzard or blizzard related for. Ever, basically. I just wanted to play a round of youtd on my old install and those bastards dropped a nonfunctioning, mandatory, +1 gig patch on me that fucked everything over. Screw 'em >:(

Seems like everything Microsoft buys gets run into the ground and filled with micro transactions, don't get why they have to ruin everything they touch.

My dearest colleague, the man who thaught me the whole job, the man who somehow had the gift to  give me enough confidence for me to convince myself that I'm a normal ass neurotypical person for two years, without whom I would have never lasted 3 years here, has been declared cerebral death.

They went in to unknot bloodveins in the head that were crossed and might have been lethal, that had been noticed when they removed a tiny tumor.

I feel you, drag. The person that trained me for the work I'm doing right now, that for all I didn't keep up with them or anything after they retired did a lot for me and taught me a lot, passed... somewhere in the last few months, I'unno what time even is anymore. Found out like a week after they died, too. Sucks.

Well, it'll make them worse by letting two bad companies pool their resources together. So that they'll be able to do more shit like buying out indie developers.
Like how a little uranium is bad, but put that chunk with some more uranium and you're heading for an exponentially worse time!

If my child was off on a crazy 20-hour road trip to save a friend, I might advise caution. That's reasonable. This could have been a six month long con to get at their wallet, whatever. They listen to me and they're taking a nap, to arrive rested and during the daylight. They generally listen.

It's a nap in their car in literally freezing weather, a thousand miles from home, with thoughts of their friend being a fraud to fill their hyperactive dreams. That's fine, they chose this.
Still, a little comfort is probably tactical.
