A couple I used to work with in a restaurant had immigrated from China, where they'd been poor so their rings were made from wood. Not like fancy lacquered stuff with an inlay, just rough wood with some stuff on it to prevent wear.

They were very proud of them, didn't matter at all what they were made out of.

Notably, we have some quite skilled woodworkers here. I don't expect Max would do it for free, but it would be quite a special gift.

Do you want a ring that is also a saw? This is how you get a ring that is also a saw.

Sounds like a great tool to me!

He's going to name it something super-radical AF out of a metal album too.

Also that just sounds like a wedding ring that doubles as a martial weapon. It's pretty awesome.

Hans needs his naps.

Also, you're probably not literally talking about that, and I hope you feel better soon.

You wanna point us at it Max? There's room for an infinite number of charities in the world, but the only thing separating successful ones from failing ones is publicity... and a worthy cause, of course :)

I...uh...will have to read the forum rules. I don't want to make money on the Toady One's shoulders. Especially when he needs the money more than ever.

After being wake up by the sound of what seemed was a intruder trying to break in, yesternight the wife and I had a talk. Under siege by mosquitoes in a pitch black room and a vaporous heat we whispered not to wake up Pedro. We are leaving, papers or not, we are leaving. I'll said it a hundred times, I'll be here until the day I can't. The Colombian consulate here close down it's doors and left the town (and probably the country) so we couldn't get pete passport.

We haven't figured out where to go, but we are leaving. The two options are either Colombia or Chile. I would love Canada but that would require so much money is mind boggling for us right now, also she doesn't talk either english or french so... also it's the fact we both have plenty of family and friends in Chile which might lend us a couch a few nights.

We'll sell everything we haven't already and gather the money, the only way to do it is thought land, it's a roughly seven day bus ride once we are in the border with Colombia. By land it like 300$ each, by air it would be at least double that and pete never got his passport so I think he can't travel by air.

Anyway, the days that follow will be beyond hectic and it probably take us months to gather everything but we are done. I feel like betraying my country, but I'm done.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?
My ship exploded midflight, but all the shrapnel totally landed on Alpha Centauri before anyone else did.  Bow before me world leaders!

While it rings a little hollow given what you’ve gone through, good luck, man.
