We should post the Ant Fugue in the ant thread, assuming said thread is started.

I just feel beaten. I'd sat in the parking lot of my gym for ten minutes, staring at it, getting sicker and sicker with myself. I'm always questioning what I'm doing anything for, nothing feels worth the constant stress I put myself through. Even little things like if I exercise, or if I eat, or when I sleep, all come prepackaged with intense shame and guilt if I feel I'm not adhering to them correctly, and I always doubt myself as to what 'correct' means anyway. I'm a fucking joke of a human being.

Just remind yourself that 'correct' doesn't matter. Doing it matters.

Got my IQ results back today. About 20 points lower than the preliminary tests expected.

Meh.

It's okay now Meph, after typing that I went out and had a nice bike ride through some sunny, beautiful weather, and got a sandwich. Sometimes I think I just feed off my own negative self-hatred.

Something happened this afternoon that has made me irrationally angry. I need to check if I have something for my nerves or else I'm not sleeping tonight

Yes but I'm unfortunately a depressive so I never act on what I know will help because I feel unworthy of receiving help. Vicious cycle that makes it hard to deal with.

You said you were homeschooled in an unconventional manner, yes? That would put you at a disadvantage on the IQ test, as the original was designed for French schools. And the other similar tests have shown bias. I googled up a few sources, not sure which one is best. However, the APA has noted that cultural bias exists in the testing, so if your education hit different notes than public education, you may be at a disadvantage.

This was a MENSA-organized test, strictly pattern recognition of abstract shapes. Not sure how much of a role education plays in that.

Huh. Fair enough. I have no idea how MENSA works, so interesting.
