online friendships, Hooray.
Everyone makes mistakes

don't underestimate the power of apologies
What OW said, I highly doubt you've ruined your friendship with a single mistake.

-snip-
You can always talk to them, y'know :) It's not ruined if the grounds of communication is always open; Personally online friendships were a way I had to help express myself due to my social anxiety, don't give up just because things went down!

[...]especially people who are cool :'(
mmph ._. please do take care of yourself Kal. I agree here pretty much.

I'd rather keep everyone at arm's length, that way I save the other person the pain of me leaving.
This attitude makes no sense to me. Do you think every relationship you begin will end with you leaving?
Continuing my depressive streak for now ... yeah. You either break up or one of you dies before the other.
...
yeah imma move that post in here

You either break up or one of you dies before the other.
This is the line of thinking that makes people think double suicide is a good idea.

I have to admit I started thinking 'well it worked for Hitler didn't it' but then I realized that aside from Godwin's Law, using Hitler as a relationship model probably isn't the best of ideas.

Though to me double suicide would still be leaving your partner. Consciousness ceases to exist past death, so voluntarily terminating your own existence is still akin to abandoning your partner. You're still never going to see them again. So why leave before you have to?

She came up to me yesterday and she told me that actively ignoring each other might not be the best way to go.
I dunno.

Well, it's (probably) true. You're never going to learn anything about each other and become friends or anything if you don't talk and hang out and stuff.

2. To the person with a crush (miauw?): I feel you, bro. *joins hug* Is she a good friend of yours? If she's not, I've been told that it's actually easier to be in a relationship with someone if they're already a good friend. Try hanging out more? (but ignore if you like, this is coming from someone with no experience with crush-asking-out)
I was in the same class as her two years ago, but she's not really a friend of mine. I only have one class with her, every Thursday, but there's only three Thursdays left in the year so I really have no idea what to do. And I don't really see any way of hanging out with her more...

I don't have any female friends in general. Trying to go out more just results in me having a lot more male friends >.>

Use common sense. Don't do dumb shit, and don't get in trouble. Otherwise, do whatever you want. Or go ahead and get in trouble. It's up to you, I guess.

I would moral-ise that statement by saying "don't do bad stuff."

Because bad stuff doesn't have to be dumb.

Bad stuff tends to fall under the category of "don't get in trouble"
