This thread is getting more and more depressing.

I can't read it anymore without sinking into total despair. So I won't be posting here for... umm, ever.

When the thread says "Things that made you sad today" It isn't all going to be lighthearted flaws you have found in your pristine life. Chances are, as there is no distinction between cases in this thread, that it will be anything from the aforementioned heavy shit, to lighthearted "my xbox totally red-ringed."

On a warning note, however, it is a "sad" thread by definition. You can't have honestly been reading it before and not expect to see something sad.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I prefer cold to hot, and I love ice cold when I'm under a warm blanket, but I'm pretty sure we've had this discussion before.

It may have been what became the fireplace thread.

My brother is leaving tonight to live with his fiancee in Switzerland.

I likely won't see him for several years.

He's the one person in my family I can actually somewhat relate to. My younger sister is similar, but she is too spiteful to provide any support. My older sister is about as distant as me. My Mother is... odd. You already know more than enough about my Father.

Well without me realising my university decided to do a Christmas Dinner today. Since I don't massively get along with any of the other people on my floor I always go to dinner alone, if I had of realised it was Christmas dinner I would have made other plans for eating or invited some friends along but I didn't so I ended up eating Christmas dinner sat on a table on my own. Just to top it off the chef insisted on coming over to my table and giving me a cracker so I looked really pathetic sat there with an unpulled cracker.

Bright side: I have a free cracker to pull at my leisure.

An unpulled cracker is a great metaphor for feeling useless.

I don't mind being alone, in fact I usually prefer to be alone, but I hate looking alone, because then people feel bad for me and I hate being pitied.  Having someone try to cheer me up is more demoralizing for me than being laughed at for being alone.  I feel your pain, man.
