A minor believing they're more psychological stable and advanced than anyone around them?

Yeah, you're breaking the mold alright.

There's a question you're not asking, and the shortest answer is, roughly, very, very simply, no. Biologically, yes, psychologically, no.

... I'm sorry, doodabuddy, but if you were a superhuman then I'd expect you to be better at amusing yourself.

What does "not psychologically human" mean, anyhow?  Please, enlighten me.

Wouldn't quite say superhuman. That's a bit like saying apples are better than oranges, and of course the term "superhuman" carries some heavy connotations.

As for "not psychologically human"... well, it's a bit of a long story. You could say I'm insane, at least by some definitions of the term. Suffice to say that my internal thought process is quite unlike that of a normal human being. The most obvious difference is a greatly reduced emotional response, especially to "positive" emotion. That could just be attributed to clinical depression, but I'm pretty good at acting normal. The bigger differences are only really apparent to me.

EDIT:

Just remembered that everything I'm saying might not be actually true. Weird things happen when I try to explain my mental state. By that I mean that sometimes I say something that I believe to be true, then minutes later have a "Fridge Logic" reaction and realize that it makes no sense. I really have absolutely no explanation for it.

It's a mental disorder, also a touchy subject that I think is best avoided.

This sort of invalidates your argument. You don't know how other people think any better than they know how you think. Only what's apparent can be measured in any reasonable manner, and if other people think you act "human", you are.

Exactly.

This is the point at which everything stops making sense and I go and do something else.

Look... I honestly don't know what you're going through, and all that, but I'm going to give you a piece of advice all the same.  Take it or leave it.

You are who you are, whatever that means.  But taking your available opportunities to distance yourself from the human race are not going to make your life easier.  To be sure, you may be a very unusual individual--but you also have similarities with all of the rest of us.  Being abnormal does not make you inhuman.  It means you have different things to bring to the table.

So do what you can to enjoy yourself and listen to others, whether society would call them your "betters" or not.  They won't always be right, to be sure, but the attitude that you're different, unique, and far more capable and mature than everyone around you is not going to make your life easy.  At all.  You'd be better off finding what common ground you can and celebrating it, rather than drawing those lines you seem to be so fond of.

The only requirements we can set on being "psychologically human" are:

A. Biologically Human

B. Possesses a psychological makeup.

Psychology is just too varied and not understood to say anything else on the matter.

Schilcote, just go to the damn beach and try to enjoy it. I may not know the details about your life, but I can tell you this: You aren't different from everyone else. The fact that you are here, trying to sell that idea to us invalidates it already.

Listen to the lady, she knows what she's talking about. If want to enjoy the time away from your magic box, you need to try to enjoy it. And after you do, you'll notice that being next to others is not that bad, and even, *gasp* fun. I used to hate going out with people, friends would go out to watch some crappy ball game, and I was always the guy to stay home with some excuse, on my couch, with my box. Well, I tried it once, going to party and they ain't all that bad. Try to enjoy one once (You can start with the beach), you'll have a blast, I swear.

I went to the beach last Friday, it wasn't very fun. For me though, it's more about the sand than the cold water, I hate sand. The wind chill is what really makes the water cold though, I can bear the water just fine, I hate cold air, though the temperature was around 90. The sand though, it gets everywhere, and it never leaves. One time I went to the beach, and I was still finding sand in my ears two weeks later.

I see the purpose of a vacation to relax, and get rid of stress. Though this mini-vacation wasn't very relaxing, I don't have much against it. I'd still rather go to a regular pool or something, just to stay away from the sand. Just go to the beach, as long as it's a decent temperature, you'll have fun.

Yeah, fun on the beach is directly correlated to the temperature of the water. My grandmother lives out on Lake Michigan, and the fam always want to go for a walk on the beach....in the middle of the ****ing winter. A beach without warm water to swim in is just a desolate coastline IMO.

I love walking back and forth across the coastline, it's one of those places where you can just walk forever without the fear of your road (or sea/sand in this case) ending, or getting bored. I find it meditating.

Lake Michigan? I don't think it can.
