I am losing the teenage superpower of being apathetic towards everything and do not know how to cope.

My apathy's been increasing and hasn't slowed down. I think something must be wrong with me.

Some of the pranks/jokes are actually very elaborate and well made (Toribash forums have made some pretty fun ones), and those i approve of. It's also kind of funny to see what silly things that might show up, but generally, i don't care enough to do anything myself. Go ham or go home is what i say, and since i can't be bothered to spend any noticable amount of time trying to think up a hamtastic thing, i'm just going to keep an eye out for extremely obvious pranks. :v
If I remember correctly, last year the TB forums tried to scare everyone by saying that they were getting into legal shit with Valve because of the ability to wear hats in the game. I still think the mods there are shitheads, but that actually made me laugh a little.

People. They confuse me. They don't want my opinion, because my opinion tends to be "rude and pessimistic" (I think it's realistic), but at the same time they want my opinion because of that. I'm not even sure if that's hippocritical or just idiotic.

The difference between pessimism and realism is that the latter has a constructive element. "You will fail" is pessimism, "here are the steps you can take to avoid certain pitfalls" is realism.

Of course, some people like to receive pessimistic advice more than realistic advice, because pessimistic advice affirms the answer they were looking for, which is invariably that they shouldn't even try because they will fail anyway, while realistic advice puts the onus of success on the person receiving the advice.

How much of this is applicable to your situation is up to you to decide, I suppose.

Honestly I wouldn't say that pessimism and realism are mutually exclusive. But rather are sorta subsets of each other. Although useless pessimism is pretty useless.

Realism is the productive combination of pessimism and optimism. You recognize the real points of failure that can bring you down while also acknowledging your real ability to create improvement. Though this is also useless unless you act on what you've figured out. 'I knew this would happen' is pretty much the most worthless thing you can say after an event has come to pass.

A bit of plain old pessimism can also be healthy, though, since we like to overestimate the success rates of our plans in general. Mostly because this saves us planning time and effort we could instead spend pleasurably procrastinating.

Back to my house, back to my friends, and back to constantly wishing I lived alone.
I'm probably just deluding myself, making excuses, but it seems like almost all of my problems would be so much better if I lived by myself...

I think I might actually hate myself? As in, in some way desire to see myself suffer and fail. I don't really know how to feel about this. Then again I also have been drinking on my own which simultaneously lends support to this reasoning and vastly reduces my ability to make reasonable judgements.
I think I'll just go to sleep.
