I think most of my initial posts came exclusively in the adventurers section of the upper forum. Now I don't even go there :o

Last episode aired :P not 5 minutes ago.

It was pretty good, though.

Apparently they wanted to do something else with their lives.

I doubt Discovery wanted to end the series...it's not like they weren't getting a ton of viewers.

In that case, godspeed to them.  That's not only a decent reason, but a good one.

* Yoink walks past carrying a large can of petrol, with some difficulty.

I think self-immolation is a reasonable response to this situation.

I think it's a good idea. Much like Penn & Teller's Bullshit, Mythbusters always was on a limited lifespan, because there's only so much Wrong in the world. It showed too, many myths were essentially repetitions or not fucking myths later on.

New week starting tomorrow. More college classes. More engineering physics.

Spoiler: rant (click to show/hide)

Inane ranting over. Pretty lame that a single class is getting to me this much.

More of an angry than a sad, but I've got to vent this before I lose it.

Ten years ago my roommate and I lived in an apartment in Denver that was completely infested with bedbugs, and I mean hundreds of the damned things biting me all the time.

Apparently, my wife's grandmother managed to get her own house infested recently, probably due to one of my wife's cousins, who is in college right now.  This wouldn't be a major problem, but Saturday was my wife's birthday and her parent came over to deliver presents.  What they failed to tell us beforehand is that they had spent the last several days at said grandmother's house, and had as such were possibly carrying bedbugs.

Ultimately this failed to be relevant, as it turns out that my wife had carried some back from a family engagement at Christmas, and there are already miserable blood-sucking little fucks in the frame of our damned bed.

We spent last night tearing the bed apart and manually killing every last one of the bastards we could find.  This morning we called our property manager and arranged to have the house inspected.  Around two hours ago the Orkin man showed up and performed his inspection, we will now be paying half of an approximately $2000 bill to have the house treated.

somehow i just realized that i will never feel free, safe and in the end comfortable if I'm still living in this country.
the sheer incompetence by the authorities.
the utter lack of intelligence displayed by the general populace.
the really extremely fast rise of violent crimes, which mixed with idiotic gun laws and self defense laws lead to a rather ugly situation.

realizing all of these things just left me feeling with a strange feeling that i cant quite describe.

Well, to be fair, violent crime has been about this prevalent for a while, but we're hearing about it more.
