...We're not quite that bad.
It's also not really a fair comparison because it's not like getting banned on Bay12 means you die in real life
what no of course not who would accuse me of such a thing

Certainly my experiences with 4Chan suggest that Bay12 is unilaterally superior, unless you enjoy edgelord-meimeis everywhere.

The pizza chain that I usually get my pizza from appears to have upped the price of their cheapest veg pizza. :(
By two whole dollars. This makes me sad, but I suppose at least now I'll have reason to try some of the independent pizza joints around.

Edit: Aw maaaan, this Sad just got even sadder. All the takeaway places are shut!
My impromptu idea of getting pizza has failed, but not before sucking up about 20 minutes of my time. Now I probably won't feel like pizza tomorrow.

Wwwwwwwelp, seems like the flu has bitten on to me. No noticable fever yet, so i remain hopeful that it's just a grazing hit. :v (that, and i had a creepypasta-tier dream, but that's a story for a different time thread)

Tends to. What happened?
Girl I had a lot of feelings for (she preyed on me and used me) and this guy she's currently with showed up in my class. She thinks I ruined her life because of rumors that were spreading that I found out about in the last minute, and he wants to beat the fuck out of me because she convinced him of that.

The entire time they were in my classroom (which neither one has any reason to be there) I was in fight or flight mode and the well of emotions made me almost violent. I was sincerely scared he was gonna deck me or the two of them were gonna jump me on my way to my car.

All this because he decided it was a good idea to visit my friends and now she's getting closer to them and because I can't even look at her without freaking out, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to cut my friends from college out of my life now...

This also means I have one friend at the college now because of this bullshit with keeping my distance from her. And I'm still the bad guy. And now she's coming into my class and making me unable to do my work because of how much fear and emotions of hurt were flowing.

I'm gonna email my teacher about letting them in again; she's a dropout and he's a third year walking into a second year lab room. I shouldn't feel threatened in there but I do

Have you told your friends what's going on and asked them to keep their distance from her and/or make sure you never end up in the same room?

Your friends should back you up here. If they don't, well, it stinks that they turned out to not really be friends. But better to know that sooner or later, I suppose.

Definitely reporting to the teacher / administrators is a good idea. Get a record going so that if something happens to you there's a paper trail.

Really tired of trusting people. Both as in trusting them for emotional support, and as in trusting them to actually do/not do something. Either way I end up learning the hard way that people are shitty unreliable things 24/7, and either way I end up forgetting that lesson pretty soon after.

That's humanity in a nutshell…although, I'd have to question the value of your friends if even they've somehow crossed your trust. Of course, I don't know anything about your situation, but have you tried talking to them?

Spoiler: Rant (click to show/hide)

Yeah, this sort of feeling is normal.  Once you get out into the workforce you stop having to cram so much stuff into your head every day and the mental exhaustion gets better. Mind, you'll still be tired a lot of the time, because life is never easy.  But when you've got a stable job, a stable schedule, etc, life gets a lot less stressful.   School with its rotating schedule of classes and constant pressure was way more stressful than my current job.  Now, you can go to jobs that are super stressful, but if you know you don't want that look for a company that doesn't demand that and you should be good.

Your friends could easily just be bragging and really be as stressed as you are.  Or they could simply find learning easier, or they could be willing to accept lower grades.  Some people just choose to take hits on grades so they can party. They could also just not be as stressed for various reasons (better adjusted nervous system, better able to tolerate an unstable schedule, etc).  Whatever, it's their issue. You need to take care of you.

Becoming a hermit is totally the wrong response, though. I wish I'd learned earlier than my senior year that spending time alone stressed out my monkey hindbrain, which needed to have friendly people near by.  Could you have quieter get togethers like a TV-watching night or game night? If your friends aren't coming up with things you can do, perhaps inviting them over for something you like to do would work.  Do you have a place you can go to just hang out?

Two responses:

Yes, sometimes people are crappy, and sometimes people are unlucky enough to have a whole string of friends who are crappy.

But, if everyone you know is betraying you, perhaps you're not communicating expectations very clearly?  Or perhaps your standards are too high?  I have a lot of friends, but I can't say that I have more than 2 I'd count on for real emotional support.  Most people don't handle their emotional problems very well, let alone other people's.

Have you considered a pet? They are honestly better than most people at emotional support so long as you take good care of them.

Went to an ear, nose, and throat specialist. Took a hearing test. Had my ears, nose, and throat looked at. Nothing wrong. The ringing in my ears can't be helped.

I missed a class for this. I have a test in 15 minutes. I am completely lost in my classes. And my life.

I'm exhausted.

Tinnitus is fun.

No it's not it's actually really bothersome.

It usually has no real cause unless you've been on a battlefield. Also a sign of hearing loss due to extended periods of loud sound. Usually music these days.
