...And that blue toga that turns you into a mermaid.

Wait, it turns you specifically into a merMAID? This campaign's trans-genderism tendancy just cranked up a notch...

What happened to that ring that lets you breathe underwater?

I think that the ring let you walk on top of water, but the mermaid stole it, no, not me, the other mermaid.
The toga turned Calladskarina into a mermaid, I don't think anyone else has gotten to try it on yet, I gave it to a dwarf as the session was ending, but, well, with the questions about merfolk anatomy unanswered, would even the dwarf know if they were a merman or a bearded mermaid?
Dibs in the rod of wonder! Unless anyone else is willing to use it...
I think that, technically, levelling is always supposed to occur at the end of/between sessions if the character has the xp for it. We already play around with the timing, so I was wondering if we could play with the necessity...

I don't want to turn permenately red green or blue so you can have fun with it if you want.

Based on that table, when you use a rod of wonder you're most likely to generate a lightning bolt or a fireball... Also, you have 50% of a 2-in-100 chance (i.e. 1% chance total) to be turned a different colour... and that should be pretty harmless, and should be undoable anyway.

I had a humourous moment in my head though... if you shoot a Rod of Wonder at someone and it turns their clothes but not the creature ethereal... Like the twins.

(This Legendary Frog reference brought to you by the Zion Department of Matrix Safety, in memory of the Wachowski Brothers' credibility.)

Can you critically armor-sword someone?

Armour spikes can be used to make attack rolls, attack rolls are pretty much always eligible to threaten crits. But I wouldn't guarantee crits if you are making grapple checks to deal damage...

What have I missed?

Sorry for being absent, but prescription painkillers have an effect on coherency and alertness.

They screw up both.

They're launching an invasion force on a powerful Necromancer's hideout.

Can I get the stats for turning into the merdwarf thing?

Wear, enter water, gain 50ft swim speed, +8 bonus to swim checks, can take 10 on swim checks even when threatened, can breathe, see and fight underwater without hinderance.

Is there some way I could raise him with all of his knowledge and have him teach me spells and stuff?

Does the Mermaid thing mess up fighting on land?

You could use that one spell, 'call dead.'

If it's the one I'm thinking of, the soul can't leave the circle, you have to make will saves to keep them there, and they will answer all questions truthfully. (But make sure you ask VERY specific questions, as they don't like being summoned.)

If you make an infectious undead and control that then it might be able to turn the necromancer into an undead under its control...
