Wait, what's going on with our DM? What happened in the session?

He got banned again? And did I miss anything in the game? (And for those curious, my grandma apparently has a 50% chance to live through the night. FUN.)

Not muted again, banned permanently, almost certainly no more DnD sessions.

Good luck with your grandmother.

Well we can still reach each other, I've got his email/msn but the forum was part of the reason he was doing the game so we'll see.

Oh wow, a permanent ban!? What has he DONE?

Anyway, we could still keep this up if Neruz remains in contact with one of us, who then posts the IP. Otherwise, I guess we could come up with a new DM from our own ranks.

Grandma seems to be doing fine, for someone who almost died. As far as we can tell, she's gonna be okay.

And how did Neruz get banned? Was it something not ban-worthy again? Because I can't imagine Toady banning Neruz for posting a picture that's too big.

Looking through his recent posts, this seems to be the only semi-offensive one.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This post is only notable in that it is about a creepy video. Otherwise, I'm stumped. I'll just go ask Toady.

Pathos has been warned.  Neruz has been warned/muted five times, and that's about enough, so he's been banned permanently (this includes going back to the atheist thread a third time after being told to stay away from it two times).  If you can't behave in a civil fashion, don't post.  If you feel you have been insulted, don't reply with insults, use the moderator button.

Basically it would seem that Neruz was deemed to be someone who couldn't avoid moderation and wouldn't abide by it. But I am terrible at picking up motives...

Well what it comes down to is the system itself, like I'm assuming its a 5 strike system so technecally no matter what the offense is 5 strikes your out.

That stinks. Well, does anyone know how to DM? Or shall we hack together a system that lets Neruz get the IP to us every Friday?

There are people here have Neruz's contact information, the problem is that Neruz was only hosting the game to do something with other forumites. If Neruz is no longer a forumite then the reason to host a game goes away. I have DMed a couple of times, but basically I'm not very good at it and don't feel like it at the moment...

Also I cannot host gametable, and it would be a completely different campaign, so it would be with most of the same people, but not really continuing the game...

As I said we will see, I have recently figured out how to forward my port so I might beable to host but can't say for sure since I still don't have a job.

I'll email Nerzu and find out if he still wants to DM. If not, we'll have to start our own D&D 3.5 game.

That is a very daunting task, but not impossible. Who would we get to DM?

I don't think I'm up for DMing. For a start, I never have before, and between getting a new job this week and having University later, I don't think I'd have enough time between sessions to prepare stuff.
