I was wondering if there are any open slots left.

Okay, I really hate AIM right now, just spent an hour and a half trying to sign up, but I haven't got anywhere.

Lets use irc, please.

Well, good news: After last night, when I can only assume Jesus Christ came down from heaven to speak to my mothers about the wonders that technology can bring into my life, and the fact that I've spent every waking minute today doing this stupid Science Project, my mother has reconsidered her previous deal, which was so ludicrous even Dark Helmet wouldn't try it. Instead, she has removed the necessity of doing the Spanish project, and only asks that I work on History for an hour tonight, and several tomorrow, and I can play D&D. However, I should mention now that I won't be available for the first 14 hours of the day. What time was the session planned?

I heard GMT 20:00 for the session time.

What IRC client are we gonna use?

Also, does anyone not have a mic or can we just use some voice chat thing like the GameTable site suggested?

No mic here. And since I can actually play now, I'd prefer if we stuck to something besides voice chat. And also, due to my current addiction to TVTropes I have forgotten how to use any other search engine. Could I get a short briefing on IRC, please, as I've never fully understood it in particular.

IRC is like a forum, but in real-time...

You're all logged in at once, and talk to each other continuously, but other than that yeah it's basically a forum.

Good job! You're considered capable of using IRC!

Basically everything has been on the same channel so far, you can see the glorious chaos in the logs : )

Heh.

The only problem we've run into though is the same one you always run into in text-based intertube DnD; everyone talking at once.

IRL you can't have everyone talk at once, everyone has to go in turn, but in text-based stuff you can have everyone typing at the same time and then suddenly getting 5 different commands. There's not really anything you can do about it, it's just something you have to deal with.

I downloaded Chatzilla... as long as everyone is able to use firefox it shouldn't present any problems... Does anyone have an operating system that is inexplicably unable to download and/or run firefox?

Or we could just use the Bay12 forums =P but that presents enough problems that we should all be able to take that as a joke.

It doesn't matter what client exactly do You use...
It can be standalone, not in-browser.
You dont need everyone to have same IRC client to be able to talk either.
