Does 'spiked body' stack with 'warforged juggernaut' to give me twice the armor spikes of either?

Er, where's spiked body come from?

But judging by the description, probably not. The Warforged Juggernaut spikes are the item 'armor spikes'.

Warforged Juggernaut gives adamantine armor spikes, and page 107 of this

http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/rules/DnD3.5Index-Feats.pdf

has spiked body, a warforged feat. Basically, the plan is to be literally coated in pointy death, so that I may grapple effectively.

No, they won't stack. Both are adding the "Armor Spikes" item to you, and weapons don't stack together, otherwise you end up with the ole chopstick mace.

Oh. I'll just have to get the blade communion of slashing feat that lets me turn my armor spikes into armor swords.

Yes, I will other than the Lord of Blades thing, but as far as I know the gods don't do anything in this world.

Could Kensai choose their juggernaut spikes to be their best mate weapon?
Can juggernaut spikes be enchanted normally making the above question moot?

Juggernaut Spikes are just Adamantine Armor Spikes, so possibly and yes.

Who's kensai? Are they another warforged? It'd be pretty difficult for a fleshbeast to get the Warforged Juggernaut class, considering you have to be made of adamantine to swing it.

Kensei is a prestige class, I think from the Complete Warrior, it gets free upgrades to its chosen weapon. They need to be lawful, but they can choose natural weapons and fists, so they are pretty snazzy for monsters and monks who want Keen corrosive burst bites or throwing returning fists...

Other than te weapon upgrades, umm, I can't be bothered looking it up, but I expect to see a blue slaadi Kensei at some point in this campaign...

Throwing Fist, combine with some regeneration and that feat that lets you rip chunks off yourself and use them as improvised weapons and we have a winner.

(Looks at the Kensai class)

Hmm... a keen juggernaut... Oh, better yet, just for the lolz, A VORPAL WARFORGED JUGGERNAUT. You can tear peoples' heads off by hugging them to death! It'll take you 6 levels before you can do this, but it'll be pretty awesome if you do. There's probably a couple reasons why this could be impractical (such as the massive grapple checks Neruz's monsters seem to have), but it'd be cool enough to be worth it.

Also, my ETA for the GAME tomorrow is... oh, roughly 3 hours late. Stupid physics tutorial.

Good luck, you will be missed! At least if there is another save or die trap...

As for grapples, they really weren't that bad, this is the quintessential grapple monster from the SRD, the purple worm CR12, +40 grapple. Its grapple check goes up by 3+3/8 for every point its CR rises, with a special +8 increase at CR 19.

The just plain tough critters are here, an example follows:
Code: [Select]
CR Grapple
 3 -4
 4  4
 5 12
 7 16
 9 24
11 29
14 38
16 42
18 46
19 50
20 58
22 62
Bear in mind that these are not grapplers, they just happen to get ridiculous grapple mods...

Of course, seeing as all that really matters is strength and size, you can find a +33 grapple check here at CR 6...

Of course, some of the CR increases are a bit odd, so you can play around with increasing hit dice and get something like this
Which at CR 9 (roughly what we are) would have 42 grapple, and that is the first critter I looked at, I could probably do better with a bit more effort, not to mention the possibilities outside of the SRD...

Basically, grapple comes down to size, BAB, and strength. Monsters come in different flavours, but the high-HD brutes will generally have much more size, respectably more BAB, and a touch more strength than the player characters. You can't really expect to grapple everything you encounter even with stupidly overpowered stuff like that new fighter class. Grappling is very powerful, but often it just won't work, so it is best to have something else to fall back on. Just lugging around a two-handed sword is pretty good...
