You'll need to toss in a diamond to make up the extra 700.

Bunch of shopping, bunch of story exposition and now you're on a bote.

There's a Necromancer on it, he sucked the soul out of a Landshark and has an Imp familiar who can ask six questions to his unhelpful Devil Lord once per week.

He's been looking for random things to raise, i have a sneaking suspicion that the party is going to arrive at Saltmarsh with a small army of skeletal mermen.

You missed out on 300 xp and a shopping mall...
Also there were more tales of Kramp's exploits, The City of Brass, the 'only captain crazy enough to take us there' who seems pretty reasonable and well prepared by my standards and a listing of what will kill us. My money is on the colossal+1 advanced fire elemental with 8 or ten tentacle attacks and the defences of a stone golem. *sighs* it is probably just a hydra...

In a certain tavern in The City of Brass there is a hurried effort to set up a scrying portal. Next to it is a board with the following mysterious notes printed across its surface in a bizarre script that appears to change its meaning based on how badly charred the medium is.

Quote from: scorched board
8-1 Ripped apart by Herds of Ashworm
4-1 Eaten by Greater Landsharks
11-1 Anger a Ghubaran village
7-1 Ambushed by Sahra
5-1 Seduced by Nasrhan
8-1 <censored> by Nar'baan
17-1 killed by miscellaneous
23-1 We find out what happened to the Kraken

If they are half Terran why do they not speak Terran?

Cause they're not half Earth Elemental; they're the descendants of Humans who were horribly mutated by direct unprotected contact with Elemental Fire, hence why they speak Ignan.

The Ocean and surrounding countryside was bathed in raw Elemental energies and was partially bound with Air, Earth and Fire, but not every part was bathed equally, and not everywhere was hit with the same energies.

Also, add to that board the following;

1-2 Consumed by Mephit swarm
5-3 Run aground on Glass Reef
3-1 Accidentally capsized by Stonewhale
7-1 Rediscover the Line of Fire
13-5 Fall into Ooze Pit
5-1 Sail into Smokestorm
9-1 Sail out of Smokestorm
13-1 Fail to get out of the way of a Storm Bringer
2-1 Fall overboard
3-1 Pulled overboard by Tuna
4-1 Pulled overboard by Sunfish
5-1 Eaten by Pike
67-1 Discover Velvet Halls
1001-1 Leave Velvet Halls

So, do they have scrying technology and are they likely to use it for this sort of thing?

Hey, my Devil Lord wasn't that unhelpful, we now know there is a possible way to get into the citadel, or to the land of the giants, or anywhere at all (I suppose) from Brass City.

We also know it's within half a mile of a tavern I ate landshark steak in while the others looked for a boat.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

The Sunday session might end in me needing a reroll... I'll go make a backup.  :P

EDIT: Are warforged allowed?

You might as well assume so, basically the only things Neruz seems to not allow are total gamebreakers (unless they're his NPCs, but those are kinda plot-crucial).

Considering we've so far met the Earth Mother, Yggdrasil, Orc Jesus, and the guy that made Orc Jesus, we should be grateful not one of them has taken the five seconds required to annihilate us.

Not to mention we apparently have the non-real-time reflex save capacity to dodge gatling gun turrets. Although, the facts that we were some distance away and had a height advantage probably helped...

Okay. I now have a True Neutral (but vindictive) Warforged Fighter set up just in case.

PS: With the items (Shard of the Sun, Wings of Flying) that I asked for, are those possible, and if so, does my character have them?
