Yes, I have ride. At the moment though, I'm hoping for wings of flying, which isn't a mount.

Note that there are two types of Figurine.

#1: The figurine turns into the creature. If the animal de-summons, it turns back into the figurine.

#2: The figurine summons the creature and remains. You pocket it and move on. If the animal de-summons it just disappears.

#2 is dramatically more worthwhile. I give you the Hot Lava Trap example.

Your animal is wandering along and falls in Hot Lava. It dies due to damage. If you have #1, it turns into a figurine which is now in the lava and which immediately melts. You are out One Magic Item.
If it's #2 the animal desummons and you can't summon it again for a week. Boo Hoo.

That said, there aren't really guidelines AFAIK for how much more #2 is supposed to cost.

I've discovered a potentially brilliant way to run the Giantlands. This should be fun.

Oh?

And godsdamnit, Galali's soul is being twisted around and around, putting him in endless pain.

((I have no idea what class I want to come back as.))

EDIT: Damn you, 2:20am, damn you.

Well, you could be a true necromancer for all your necromancy needs.
Or a thri-kreen soulknife for mystical stabbing...
Or a frenzied berserker because the party was just to stable before...
I had a barbarian 1 / cleric x with the strength and luck domains and the shock trooper feat once, that was mildly entertaining...

waitwaitwait.

Cleric exploitation aside, could I have a giant as Galali's new form, Neruz?

Dread Necro is better than True Necro, True Necro sucks balls.

Dread Necros get to control rediculously gigantic hordes of Undead. I can also dig up some alternate Necro rules to allow you to upgrade your Undeads, based on the Homunculus rules for the Artificer.

--EDIT--

Unlikely Akig, the Giantkind Regeneration is obscene; i'm alright with CJ having Bull as his Cohort because i'm technically the one running Bull (which is also why he's a bit more powerful than your standard Cohort.) But giving it to a player would be silly as it would require me to come up with rediculous justifications just so i could hurt you.

Huh, I can't find anything that sounds like this 'dread necromancer' class in the srd, just a necromancer variant for wizard.

And I guessed that would be your answer.

Dread Necro isn't from the SRD, it's from, uh, Heroes of Horror iirc.

HoH appears to be 3rd edition... but if you don't mind, can I look at those alternate rules?

Go for it; most of the 3rd edition rules are perfectly usable in 3.5 anyway, and i'm not overly worried about balance, since it's impossible to balance 3.5 there's no point in trying.

If I die, would a Minotaur Fighter be okay?

Just about, remember that Minotaur will cost you 6 levels of Monstrous Humanoid though, so with the current starting level of 7 you'd only be a first level fighter.

I can't seem to track down those special rules, or are they homebrewed by you?
