Go to the {town ruler} and explain the threat that Richard poses.

Since you're the first to mention the ruler of the town or city, you get to pick the title. Congratulations!

War-king Julies Iraties

The land used to be a democracy, but after years of endless wars the lands commander took over. Thanks to his numerous ideas on how to win the war, he united the land and his legasy lives on in his son, Julies.

There are various other leaders that are elected by the people, but they hold little power and are basically glorified advisers.

The minister are...
The prime minister Domitri Regar: He's the main elected ruler of the city-state. Julies has to keep him happy, because he has sway over the people. He would take over the government if given the chance, but isn't willing to risk his current position to try.

The war minister Triad Iraties is the younger sister of Julies. she is surprisingly loyal for someone in this position, but if Julies was Indisposed she could theoretically take control...

There are various other ministers, but there of no importance.

Can i haz back story?

Works for me, but there are multiple politicians.

... I'm a terrible person for encouraging the players to write the backstory.

I will look around for traps and if there aren't any I will continue into the tower.

Blow the door off it's hinges with a telekenetic blast, then escape from the prison.

I keep hitting "modify" instead of "quote." It's discouraging.

CJ1145
{2} - "Alfred, raising zombies is easy. Try it!"
{1} - Alfred tries to respond, but his mouth is full of the guard's neck. He only succeeds in gnawing on the guard's spine, and the guard's axis vertebrae somehow finds its way into Alfred's throat, making speaking impossible. Good thing zombies don't need oxygen.

Dragnar
{2} - Dragnar takes a few oddly shaped pieces out of his box to fiddle with, but the fishhook wound in his finger bothers him slightly, making him mess up. He gets discouraged when a passing student laughs at his feeble attempts.
"Unable to neutralize threat: Primary weapons system requires disabled locomotion module." The student laughs harder.
Discouraged! -1 to Mini-Mech upgrades/repairs next turn!

SHAD0Wdump
{5} - Generic guy #1 learns to hover with pulses of weak(compared to his standard) sneezes.
New ability gained! Learned to hover with devastating sneezes!
+2 Devastating Sneezer! Devastating Sneezer gained!

Realmfighter
{4} - Ragnar attempts to gain an audience with the War-King, but is blocked by a guard. After trying to convince the guard to let him in to war the War-King of the threat that necromancers pose, the guard chuckles.
"He already knows. That's why all necromancy and related fields of magic are banned within the kingdom. Now begone."
Necromancy and Anti-Necromancy are now banned! Guards will attack anyone caught doing necromancy on sight!

Apostolic Nihilist
{4} - "So, how can I help with the cause?"
The man who seems to be the leader grins mirthlessly. "Minster of Trade Gaius has been recently elected. He is heavily disinclined to allow any major commerce not personally sanctioned by him. The only people he sanctions are his friends and supporters. Garner support for our cause by killing him, and leave this by his body. Jul will assist you, and ensure you don't do anything funny." The man hands Guy a brass feather. A perfectly average looking man in peasant clothing steps forward and blindfolds Guy. They return to the surface.
Jul stands behind Guy, blending in with the crowd.
Brass feather gained!
Minion gained: Jul!
Bleeding worsens! Heavy Bleeding gained!

Flintus10
{2} - Flint continues onwards, into the tower. He trips over a loose rock, which hits a stone in the wall. The door closes behind the adventurers, and they are unable to open it again. They look at Flint darkly.

RandomNumberGenerator
{3} - The door seems to have been reinforced to withstand telekinetic blasts. Fortunately, the executioner seems to be running late.

I'll take some engineering classes before I try any more upgrades.

Also, I thought I removed the fishhook a few turns back?

Yes. Yes you did. I'll remove it from the status, and reword that slightly.

Explain that i saw a necromancer necroamncing it up in the cemetery.
That will be interesting if you succeed, since you didn't see a necromancer in the cemetery.

Tell my minion to stop my bleeding. He's probably more skilled at medicine than I am.

Meanwhile, remembering the perfect scale model of the city I built, I figure out where Gaius is.
